Adwords Miracle Guide

One of the most effective methods of advertising to come along online is
"pay-per-click" or PPC, best known because of Google's "Adwords" program.
PPC and Adwords can also be very tricky and difficult to master, so instead
of relying on the information Google provides on how to use Adwords, many
people have created Adwords guides both to give away and to sell. Some of
these PPC and Adwords guides are better than others, although some useful
information may be garnered from just about all of them. A few Adwords
guides may provide bad or incomplete advice, however, that could cost you an
arm and a leg.

Adwords basically works like this: You set up an account, create short ads -
the kind we see all over websites, called "Adsense" - based around a product
and using a set of "keywords" or words and phrases, and you are up and
running in a short time. Sometimes you may not stay up and running, however,
because Google often does account reviews that may slow things down. Adwords
sounds very simple and exciting, and it is on face value. But, there's a
reason for all the Adwords guides - and that is because making a profit
using Adwords is not at all easy. It may have been at one point, but it
doesn't seem to be so anymore. If you have ever tried using Adwords or PPC
in general and failed, you are not alone. Unless you are either incredibly
smart or lucky, you will likely fail many times before you get the hang of
it. The "incredibly smart"
part would be, in my opinion, the one that studies the subject before
embarking on advertising with Adwords and PPC. And one of the best places to
go to study the techniques that do turn a profit using Adwords is Chris
McNeeney's Adwords Miracle ebook.

There is no doubt that Chris has managed to master Adwords and affiliate
marketing in a very short time, and he has the data to prove it. There is
also no question that the Adwords Miracle guide contains very solid
easy-to-understand strategies that at the very least can help you understand
better what you are getting into when you decide to use the PPC/Adwords
method of advertising. The Adwords Miracle book is so thorough - yet not
filled with filler and fluff - that you could feel overwhelmed.
But this information is the sort that you need to study, reading over and
over again, and to implement and to experiment with. In this way, you just
might find that you can create your very own Adwords miracles!

Ten Steps to Work-At-Home Success

Many people have told me they have given up their goal of working at home
because it just doesn't exist. When I tell them I work at home and over 50
million others in the United States also work at home, I'm told that working
at home doesn't work for them.

Perhaps you are thinking the same thing. I'm here to tell you that
working-at-home is possible for everyone. But you have to have the following
characteristics:

1) You have to want it bad enough.
2) You have to look in the right places.
3) You have to do the work.

If you have the above characteristics, then you just need to follow the 10
steps to work-at-home success!

1) Take 100% responsibility for your life. You are where you are now because
of choices you have made. I understand that life may be tough. Perhaps you
have been laid off. Or may be you or someone you love is ill. Life presents
challenges. But some of the most successful people in history have overcome
tremendous odds to achieve success.

Take Kyle Maynard. He was born without any arms below the elbow or legs
below the knee. Despite his physical challenges, Kyle was one of the top
wrestlers in Georgia in his senior year of high school. Kyle is now
wrestling at the University of Georgia and has begun training in Jiu-Jitsu
and competing in the sport of submission wrestling. He is also the author of
the book No Excuses, which is what this step is about. You need to give up
excuses that prevent you from taking action on your goals.
You need to refuse to let obstacles including frustration and discouragement
get in your way. When bad things happen, you need to CHOOSE to continue on.

While you can't control the external things in your life, you can choose how
you respond to them. By choosing to act instead of be acted upon, you will
be taking 100% responsibility for your life.

2) Decide what you want. That sounds pretty easy. More money. Better house.
More time. But, these are vague and don't inspire action. Be clear about
what you want. Be specific including what color, what size, what shape, what
brand...etc. How much money exactly do you want? What size and style house
exactly do you want? Where is it located?
On how much land? The more specific you are with your goals, the easier it
is to focus on them and be inspired by them.

3) Believe it is possible. This is similar to what I discussed about the
people who tell me, that working at home doesn't work for them. Richard
Bach who wrote Jonathan Livingston Seagull said, "Sooner or later, those who
win are those who think they can." Working at home is possible. Millions of
others have proven it to be true.
They are no smarter or more talented or luckier than you.
They just knew it could be done and figured out how to do it. You can do the
same.

4) Believe in YOU! Arthur Williams once said, "The number one reason that
keeps people from winning in the United States today is a lack of belief in
themselves." You are the one person you should root for the most, and yet
mostly likely you sell yourself short. Society trains us to be like this. We
are raised to be mediocre people. But you don't have to accept mediocrity.
You can do great things.

History is littered with people who had less than you and rose to great
heights. Helen Keller was blind, deaf and dumb living in a world in which
women were second-class citizens, yet she rose to become an amazing woman.
Abraham Lincoln was poor, suffered from depression, was not handsome, and
lost several elections before becoming president. Babe Ruth struck out more
times than he hit the ball. But he knew the ball was coming and kept on
swinging.
If you put your mind to it, you can work at home. I know it. But you need to
know it too!

5) Set goals. Goals help define where you want to go so you can develop a
map to getting there. "Without goals, and plans to reach them, you are like
a ship that has set sail with no destination." Said Fitzhugh Dodson. To be
most effective, goals should be written, specific, realistic without being
too easy, and they must have a deadline. Once your goals are set, read them
three times a day. An easy way to do this is to have a copy taped to your
bathroom mirror, one on the refrigerator and one at your desk or any other
places that you will see it them regularly.

6) Take action. Having goals without action is like having a road map, but
not getting in the car to go anywhere. Mark Twain once said, "The secret to
getting ahead is getting started." Unfortunately, it's the start that stops
most people. Don't be one of them. Do something everyday that moves you
towards your goal. In fact, set out to do 5 things everyday that will move
you towards your goal.

7) Stop stopping yourself. How many times have you wanted to do something
but didn't because the timing wasn't right or things weren't perfect? In
order to be successful, you need to stop limiting yourself. Stop waiting for
the right time or the right situation. Success does not come when the time
is right, the stars align, and life isn't busy. It comes because of
consistent effort even though life isn't perfect.

You also need to stop limiting yourself because of fear.
Successful people step outside what is comfortable to make their dreams come
true because, "There is no money in the comfort zone." Stepping out of the
comfort zone can be scary. There isn't always a lot of support from friends
and family for doing something different. But if you were to study all the
successful people in world, you would find that in order to reach success,
they all had to stop limiting themselves and step out of the comfort zone.
Success is not the attainment of the goal, it's the challenges you overcome
to attain the goal.

8) Visualize your dream. At least once a day, think about what your life
will be like when you reach your goal. The more you think about what you
want, the more your brain gets active in trying to help you achieve it. Have
you ever thought about buying a car and all of a sudden you see the car you
are thinking of buying all over town? Are there really more of these cars
out on the road? No. It's just by thinking about it you notice them more.
The same thing happens when you picture your life as you'd like it. Your
brain will begin to pay attention to things that can help you reach it.

9) Feel the fear and do it anyway. Fear is best described
as:

Fantasized
Experiences
Appearing
Real

Fear is what keeps us in our comfort zones. What is there to fear anyway?
What people will think? Who cares? Odds are they don't have what you want
and can't help you get it. So why listen to them? To overcome fear, you need
to make your dream bigger than your fear. Your desire to work at home needs
to be bigger than the fear of what others are going to say about you (and
truth be known, people don't think about you nearly as much as you think
they do if at all).
Also, make your goals urgent and just as important as other things in your
life. When you MUST live your dream, you
will.

10) Be willing to pay the price. We aren't talking about money although
sometimes that is a part of reaching your goals. In paying the price, you
will need to sacrifice and work harder than you have ever done before.
Leisure activities like reading and watching television may have to go on
the wayside as you spend time working on your goal.

You may need to give up some extras like manicures, lattes, or dining out so
you can have the extra money to live on or to use to build your business. A
price must be paid but the payment is temporary, while the payoff is
forever.

Finding a way to work-at-home is a reasonable goal, but it won't happen
without purposeful effort on your part.
Nothing worth having comes easily. You need to plan. You need to work. You
need stop fear and a lack of confidence from stealing your dreams. In the
coming year, millions more people will finally do what it takes to
work-at-home.
Will you be one of them?

Are too many EXCUSES holding you back?

People from all walks of life use excuses not to do things that they really
want to do, like starting their own business. People have a way of using
excuses as a huge crutch, keeping their aspirations and dreams hobbled for
life.

Successful people in business don't know the meaning of having excuses in
their life and in their business. It is like a foreign language for them.
For every challenge that comes up in their daily business life, they find
the solution while many who don't start a business, always find excuses and
reasons why they will not start one.

Here are common excuses that people use that holds them back from ever
really starting or even succeeding in business. Solutions are also included.

1. "Starting a business is way too risky"

Let me just say that when you keep a job and don't start your own business,
you are actually taking a big risk not starting one. Working at your job and
hoping for the best is a bigger risk then starting a business because in
today's world, no job is secured and you may never know when the company
will cut your job and kick you out of their door.

2. "I don't have the money to do this"

Look, if you are truly serious about starting and running a business, you
have got to have money to invest in it. If you don't then how are you
expecting to make any money and running a successful business?

Even if you have small amounts of money saved, then you can start on a
smaller scale and build from there. There are plenty of stories about people
who started with little money and have grown their business in the millions
of dollars.

You have got to make this a serious issue and find the money to do what you
want to do in your business. If you don't have the money, you can always
borrow it. You have to find a solution.

3. "My family, friends, and co-workers don't support me and don't believe in
me"

The fact is that it doesn't matter what they say or think about you and your
business. This is YOUR decision and you have to go with what your heart and
mind says. The main reason why people in your life don't support you and
your business is because all of their lives they have been taught to get a
good education and get a good job at a great company. Starting a business is
like a foreign language to them.

4. "I am too old/young to do this business"

You are never too young or too old to start and run a business. Using your
age is another one of those excuses that can hold you back.

5. "I am not lucky enough"

Luck has nothing to do with succeeding in business. Look at other people
that have a business and are successful and study what they do on an ongoing
basis. They are not lucky.
They are doing key things on a daily basis that creates their success and it
is much easier then you think. It might not be rocket science after all.

So, from today, make the decision that you will not use anymore excuses not
to start your own business. If an issue comes up, then find the solution as
to how you are going to go forward and not backwards. This is very
important.

Internet Marketing Tips: How To Find Profitable Keywords In 3 Easy Steps

Each day I go on the hunt for profitable keywords for my sites. I have been
doing this daily task for years and have come to enjoy the simple steps I
take to find profitable keywords. It has become so enjoyable because I know
with each valuable keyword I find I am adding hundreds, sometimes even
thousands to my yearly online income.

Keywords power much of the online traffic and commerce on the web. Keywords
are the exact word or phrase surfers type into search engines to find what
they're looking for on the Internet. They are the essential elements in your
website's profitability and in many cases keywords will largely determine
how much revenue you earn from the web.

Finding profitable keywords is not a difficult task, anyone can use popular
online sites and tools to find valuable and profitable keywords with a few
minutes of work. Quick, easy and simple. You just have to know how to find
the answers to these three questions:

1. How Many Searches Are Made Each Month For Your Keyword?

A keyword that receives no searches is worthless. A keyword which receives
just 10 to 100 searches each month may be very profitable. Your first task
is to find out or discover HOW MANY SEARCHES are made each month for your
keyword or keyword phrase. You can use sites like Overture (Yahoo
Marketing) or WordTracker and they will give you the number of searches made
each month and also variations of your keyword phrase. For quick reference
I use this site:
http://www.pixelfast.com/overture/

Once you know how many searches are made for your keyword you can determine
how much traffic you will receive if your site lands on the first page SERPs
(Search Engine Results Pages). The closer you are to the number one spot
will determine the percentage of these monthly searches you will receive.
Most of your traffic will come from Google, even if you get #1 spots in all
three major engines, Yahoo and MSN will return less traffic - at least this
has been my experience.

Keep in mind, even keywords with low search numbers may still be profitable.
For example, 'unique corporate gift ideas' only has around 400 searches but
this may be very profitable for companies or websites that cater to
corporate gifts. Also remember, some keyword searches are seasonal, i.e. the
number of searches made for 'valentine gifts' in July will greatly differ
from those made in February.

2. How Much Competition Does Your Keyword Have?

You must know the level of competition for each keyword phrase you target
with your online marketing. Extremely competitive keywords are not worth
your time because you will not place for these keywords on the SERPs and you
will get no traffic. As a general rule, the most popular keywords with 100's
of thousands of searches a month will have the stiffest competition.

You can still place for very competitive keywords but it may require months,
usually years of content/link building.
Unless you use a PPC (Pay Per Click) advertising system such as Google
Adwords or Yahoo Marketing; you won't get any traffic from extremely
competitive keywords. It's best to target keywords with little or no
competition.

One of the best sites to use to find out your keyword's competition is
Google. If you type your keyword phrase 'corporate gift ideas' into Google
search you will see there are 7,660,000 pages/listings returned. To get the
number of pages that have your exact keyword phrase, you need to search your
phrase within quotation marks "corporate gift ideas" and you will see it has
around 275,000 pages featuring your keyword phrase.

If you check out the sites on the first three pages of listings you can
determine the level of your competition. I use the professional keyword
research software Keyword Elite to determine my competition. But here's a
quick way to check the PR (Page Rank) of the listings for your keyword
phrase. Let's run thru an example.

First do a search in Google for 'corporate gift ideas' and then highligh and
copy the return url.

Next go to this site
http://www.iwebtool.com/visual_pagerank and paste in your Google keyword
return url:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=corporate+gift
+ideas&btnG=Search

This will give you a quick visual pagerank of all your chosen keyword's Top
10 competitors!

3. How To Know If Your Keyword Is Profitable?

One quick and simple way to tell if your keyword is profitable, i.e. people
are making money from promoting and optimizing your chosen keyword phrase.

Take your keyword phrase and type it into Google, Yahoo and MSN. Just count
the number of Sponsored Links at the top of the page and at the sides. If
your keyword phrase is profitable you will see a lot of sponsored links,
which means sites/businesses are advertising. Where there is advertising,
there is profit!

You can use Yahoo advertising (Overture) to discover the amount each
advertiser is welling to pay for each click or visitor to their keyword
phrase - this amount can range from $.10 to $10 to $100 per click!

I use the keyword software mentioned above to monitor the different sites
promoting my keywords. If my competitors are buying PPC advertising month
after month, you know this keyword phrase is profitable for them and chances
are it can be also profitable for you.

Many savvy Internet Marketers instead of targeting extremely popular
keywords, find a niche market and target a whole string of related keywords
that have little or no competition. This Long Tail marketing method can
prove very profitable.

How profitable will largely depend on what you do with your keyword traffic,
how well you can convert this traffic into a sale or how well you can
monetize it with affiliate programs or Google Adsense?

Just follow these three easy steps for finding profitable keywords and you
will have a simple system for adding valuable keywords to your site or
online marketing. Take full advantage of these little income magnets which
powers so much of the commerce done online and you will succeed.
Always remember, these little nuggets of gold are yours for the taking.

Make Money By Writing And Publishing Small Articles On The Internet

Right now, thousands of people from around the world, from professional
authors to my sister-in-law, are using small, simple articles to make money
on the Internet.

How much money can you make writing articles?

Well, that is going to vary from person to person, and a lot of other
factors are involved as well. It's not simply how good a writer you are,
but the subjects you choose to write about, how you address the subject,
where you place your articles, how many sites you get your articles on, how
valuable the information is, and the site(s) you link to with your articles.
A few small, 600 to 1000 words, articles properly placed can create regular
customers and sales while enhancing an internet business website ranking
within the search engines...which also increases traffic to the website.
Increased traffic can translate to increased customers, therefore more
sales, and, in some cases, repeat sales, which translates to residual
(passive)

Some people make thousands of dollars while others just make a few bucks.
However, the technique is simple and it's a game that almost anyone can
play. Even my sister-in-law figured out that if she simply wrote about some
of the problems she encountered growing up, there would be places where her
articles could be published, people who would read those articles, and a
means of linking from those articles to a site she and her husband have on
the internet.

So, what IS the technique for making money with small articles?

In most cases, the first step is to decide on what the general subject is
you wish to write about. In this case, I have chosen to write about
writing. The general subject is then narrowed down to a niche. Again, in
this case, I have chosen to write about how to write small articles for
profit. Someone interested in bicycling may write about racing, or even
narrow the niche to a specific sort of bike racing or type of racing bike.

The niche should be related to the product. The product may be a physical
product, a service, or information. Some people will have a product
already. Our bicycle enthusiast above may own a bicycle store or sell
bicycle parts and accessories over the internet. I offer various services
and information related to writing and publishing articles, so I have chosen
to write an article on writing articles...for profit!!

It is important in most cases that you choose a product or service that you
enjoy talking or writing about. If you pick a product JUST to make money,
but don't really care about the area of interest, you will lose your
motivation during periods when income is small or slow. It is a reality, by
the way, that the first few days, weeks, or even months may be periods where
you will make little or no money. An interest in your topic will help keep
you coming back to "open your store".

What if you don't already have a product?

There are many sites on the internet where you can find people or companies
which will be happy to pay you a commission for bringing them buying
customers. Most of these "affiliate programs" will only pay if the customer
you send to them actually buys something. Years ago, you could find
programs which would pay an affiliate for a click-thru, but, of course, many
people would just sit and click on the link or have friends click on the
link in order to generate income, so that went away.

Some places where you can find products with affiliate programs are
ClickBank.com, commission Junction (cj.com), and Link Share (linkshare.com).
If you cannot find a product or company that meets your interests, just do a
search on related topics and request "affiliate program"
with the search. You may have to kiss a few frogs, but there are good
affiliate programs in just about every field.

What do you do with your articles?

Make your own website:

Obviously, if you have several articles on a subject, you can always create
your own website. A benefit of having your own website is that you control
the set-up of your articles and you have complete editorial control of both
the articles themselves and the website. You can add, subtract, and edit as
you wish, and you can create any potentially profitable links as you desire.

The drawbacks are that your website, and article, exposure will be only as
good as your search engine optimization efforts will make it and that your
articles will be confined to one spot on the web. You will also have to
learn something about website design, buy hosting, register domain names,
and provide periodic maintenance, just to name a few responsibilities. If
you want to try this route, you might want to cut your teeth with free
hosting and, once you have gained competence and confidence, register a
domain and host your own site yourself.

Create a blog:

There are a myriad of places to create blogs on the internet, and most of
them are free. If you are a prolific writer, a blog may be perfect as you
can regularly update your blog with new material. Even if you don't turn
out articles regularly, you can fill in with material from the article
directories, which we will talk about in a moment.
Again, you will have control over most of the linking, but free services are
sometimes limited in what they will allow you to do. For one example, I
once tried to place a banner for an affiliate program on one of my blogs and
it threw the positioning of everything out of whack. However, if you can
offer interesting and relevant information on your topic and update it
regularly, you can create a good amount of traffic to your business or
affiliate program.

Post your articles on forums:

There are a kazillion (my spell checker hates that
non-word) forums on the Internet, and you can find at least one for almost
any topic or subject area. Many will allow you to create a signature which
can include a link to your internet business website. Regularly posting
relevant and interesting articles on these sites can create a lot of
traffic, and sometimes contribute to enhancing your ranking and placement on
various search engines.

Post your articles on article directories:

This is my absolute most favorite type, kind, and sort of method. Once you
have written an article, you can go to any one of several good article
directories and post your article. Article sites will allow you to include
a link to your site. Be aware, however, that many sites will not allow
linking directly to an affiliate link provided by the company you are
affiliated with, so you may wind up having to create an intermediate
information site or portal anyway.

Since this article may appear on several different article directories, I
won't mention any specific article directories here, but, if you are seeing
this article on an article directory, I possibly posted it there...which
brings me to a benefit of posting your article on article directories.

Obviously, the more exposure you get for your article the better...in most
cases at least. However, it can be a real pain to go from one article
directory to another, cutting and pasting and dealing with the rules or
restrictions particular to each site. Since many sites allow for your
article, with your byline or links attached, to be copied by others, your
article may be copied and placed on other sites or used in ezines. Those
placed on other websites create new links back to your site, enhancing the
value of your site in the eyes of the search engine spiders, and possibly
bringing in new customers.

Still, you are faced with the bother of manually placing each new article on
several different sites with different requirements. One way around this is
to purchase the services of an article submission service. For a fee, these
companies will, once you have posted an article on their site, submit it to
several different article directories and forums. This can increase your
exposure exponentially.

As with many things, there are few overnight successes. If you are able and
willing to write at least a few articles and find places to post, them,
however, you will be able to create the start of an Internet success story.
The key is not to give up just because nothing happens right away.
This is why you choose an area which pleases and interests you. If you are
working in such an area, you will find it much easier to continue creating
articles even if you are not immediately experiencing fantastic results.

Associate Program: Your Ticket To Get Rich

Having your own website doesn't do a lot to your life. It will only be a
place where people can visit and read the things that you put in your
website. However, by having your own website, you can turn it into a
moneymaking machine that can land you large amounts of profits.

Joining an associate program or an affiliate program is one of the most
rewarding and the most lucrative Internet home business that you can ever
get in to. Besides, you don't have to invest a lot of money for it. You only
have to have a website where you will put your affiliate programs.

Affiliate or associate programs work by promoting your affiliate company's
products and referring potential clients visiting your website to the
affiliate company's website. When the visitors from your website purchases a
particular product or services from your affiliate company, you will get a
commission out of the sold product.

This may seem simple enough but there are things that you have to consider
in order to profit a substantial amount from this kind of home business.
First of all, successful affiliate marketers work hard in promoting their
website through articles. By writing articles related to the product you are
marketing for your affiliate company and publishing them to numerous article
publishing websites, you will be able to get targeted traffic in your
website.

The first thing you have to do is that you have to dedicate your website to
a particular niche related to your affiliate company's products. The topics
in your article and also in your website should be similar to your affiliate
company's products.
Besides, you wouldn't want to have an affiliate program that promotes guns
if your website is about dogs or pets. You have to choose your affiliate
program to be related to the topic of your website.

With this, there will be a greater chance that you will attract more people
and more potential buyers to your affiliate company's website. This will
result in greater income opportunities.

You have to remember that in order to be successful in the affiliate program
business, targeted traffic should be your main priority. The more targeted
traffic entering your website, the more chances you will have in earning a
lot of money and getting rich.

To do this, affiliate marketers publish articles with topics related to
their website's theme and also the product that the affiliate companies
sell. This will generate targeted traffic to your website and in turn, more
income opportunities.

Affiliate programs aren't a "get rich quick" scheme, it is something that
you should work hard on and it is also something that you should dedicate
some of your time in. Spend some time developing your website and it will
come to a point that your website will be comfortable for use by everyone.

There are things that that you should consider when starting your own online
business as an affiliate marketer. By knowing about affiliate programs and
how it works, you will definitely be on your way to success. You will also
be making a lot of money through affiliate programs.

Just remember that you should choose a topic and a product that you plan on
promoting for a particular company that you are familiar about. Writing
articles about a particular product that you don't have any knowledge on,
will only result in letting you look like a complete fool explaining
something that you don't know anything about.

Remember these things and you will be surely on your way to success and
getting rich with affiliate or associate programs.

Ewen Chia Superaffiliate

One of the first things that pops into mind when the name Ewen Chia comes up
is "overdelivery." Who is Ewen Chia? Simply put, Chia is a superaffiliate
and internet marketing guru who has made millions online in the past few
years. Prior to his success in affiliate marketing, Chia held a job and
struggled along online trying to make money, like so many other people
before and since. There is no question that superaffiliate Ewen Chia, who
has sold many thousands of products and services on the net, knows what he
is doing, and that he provides some of the best information on the subject
of net marketing, in a manner that is almost overkill. In fact, when you
purchase one of Ewen's own products about affiliate marketing, you may want
to take a deep breath before you download all the material, including many
bonuses, onto your computer! You should consider what Ewen provides as a
college course on affiliate marketing and online money making that is going
to take you a while to get through all the materials. Ewen has a blog where
you can leave comments about his marketing products, services and advice,
and there are various forums where you can discuss Chia's products and
services, as well as many others pertaining to the internet marketing field.

There is a drawback to the information inundation that Ewen Chia provides
for the affiliate marketer in exchange for a very modest sum: The sheer
volume of it may stymie you from even attempting to use his great marketing
stuff. And you might want to consider that fact the next time you are
tempted by an offer that includes 101 bonuses. Are these bonuses going to be
useful to you and your business, or will they simply end up taking up space
on your computer, gathering pixel dust?

On the other hand, there are few people better to follow than Ewen Chia, if
you are really interested in sharpening your skills at internet and
affiliate marketing. It may take you longer to make your way through all the
material Chia provides, but you will be well prepared afterwards, which is
the best way not to lose money - and that is often the first real step in
achieving success at internet marketing and online money making. In fact,
Ewen is so thorough and on top of it that when I have read or thought about
trying this and that other method, program or product, at times I have asked
myself, "What would Ewen do?" or "WWED?" Would Ewen Chia try this technique
or product? This service? This program? Would he spend his time or consider
it a waste?

So, what would Ewen Chia do if he were either starting out or trying to amp
up his affiliate marketing business? He would probably find himself and
follow his own example and advice! I do believe that studying Chia's work is
a very good thing to do, because he's cut out all of the mistakes he could
make - and there are many costly mistakes you can make in this field of net
marketing. Ewen's programs and products teaching affiliate marketing and
online money making are certainly some of the top of the line, and you can't
go wrong paying attention to anything Chia has to offer.

Affiliate Marketing - #1 Way To "Capture" Success

If you have ever tried or are currently trying to succeed with affiliate
marketing, I can almost guarantee that your system of trying to make money
looks something like this:

1. You decide that you want to make money with affiliate marketing.

2. You sign up free at clickbank

3. You choose the most popular product that you think will make you the most
money.

4. You advertise your affiliate link

5. You hope that people join so you can earn money

This is actually what I call the "Failure Formula." If you try to make money
with affiliate marketing following that the same failure formula that most
people do, you are guaranteed to fail.

While there are dozens of things wrong with the 5 step process above, I will
focus on 2 of the main items left out. In fact, it is estimated that only 2%
of all people involved in affiliate marketing use the following two steps on
a regular basis. It is no surprise though that they are the most successful
2%.

First mistake: In the scenario above, the affiliate link was advertised
directly. You never, ever, ever advertise your affiliate link directly. If
you want to have any success in affiliate marketing, you MUST get your own
url. You can get a URL for under $10 so there is no excuse for not having
one.

Nobody, and I mean nobody is going to click on those ugly clickbank links.
In fact, it is estimated that you will get as much as 900% more clicks on
your link by using a personal url.
Think of what an increase in clicks of 900% can do for your bottom line.

all you have to do is purchase your own URL for under $10 and then forward
it to your affiliate link, right? WRONG!

Having the url is not enough. If you want to build a successful LONTERM
affiliate marketing business, you also need a capture page.

Second Mistake: In the scenario above, all traffic was being directed
directly to the sales page. So what happens with all of that targeted
traffic that you worked so hard to get to your site? Well, one of two things
happens. They buy and you make a one time commission on them. Or, most
likely, they stay on your site for 30 seconds or less and leave.

In either case, you lose out. In the first case you may be thinking, but
wait, I earned some money on that person. This is true. But, if you had
"captured" that personas name and email address you could be profiting from
that person for years and years on multiple products. It is a proven fact
that most of the profits made in affiliate marketing on on the "back end" or
in "upsells" after somebody buys so you are losing out on tons and tons of
money.

In the second case, you just wasted all of your money and time that you
spent on advertsing. If you had set up a capture page, you could have
captured the name and email of the prospect before they went to the sales
page. Then, you could continue to market to them and eventually create a
sale. In affiliate marketing, and in marketing in general, it takes on
average 7 exposures for people to buy. If you are only giving them one
exposure, you are again throwing money out the window.

So, before you get started in affiliate marketing, it is absolutely
necessary to have two things:

1. Your own personal URL (should be specific to the types of products you
are promoting).

2. Your own capture page that collects the name an email of visitors BEFORE
they go to the sales page. This not only builds a targeted list for you, but
it allos you to create more sales, back end sales, up sales, and offer
additional products in the future.

Remember, those experiencing the most success in affiliate marketing are
doing the 2 things above. Don't reinvent the wheel. Affiliate marketing is
much, much easier when you follow the successful systems that have already
been proven for you.

Boosting Internet Sales: Do You Need Professional Assistance?

Are you currently the owner of an online business? Whether your business
sells a product or a service, your business needs to show a profit. When it
comes to online businesses, you will find that page views are the best way
to increase or boost internet sales. It is a known fact that more internet
users mean a greater chance of seeing an increase in sales, whether those
sales are for an online service or product. That is why you need to take
steps to increase the amount of traffic that your website sees, which, in
turn, will help to increase your internet sales.

Now, when it comes to boosting your internet sales, by increasing your page
views, you will find that you have a number of different options. Those
options include participating in a pay per click advertising program or by
having your business website optimized for the search engines, which will
likely increase your search engine rankings. A large number of online
business owners make the decision to do this themselves. Of course, you can
always join a pay per click program on your own or optimize your website for
the search engines, but you may also want to think about seeking the
assistance of a professional. When seeking professional assistance, you will
want to seek it from an internet marketing firm that specializes in SEO.

When it comes to determining whether or not you need to seek the assistance
of a professional internet marketing firm that specializes in SEO, you need
to examine a number of different factors. One of those factors is time. How
much time do you have on your hands? If you are unfamiliar with search
engine optimization or even pay per click programs, you will need to take
the time to familiarize yourself with them. Unfortunately, this can turn
into a fairly time consuming process. That is why, if you are pressed for
time, it may be a good idea to seek professional assistance. Professional
internet marketing firms know what they are doing; therefore, there is no
additional learning that is involved in increasing your website traffic,
which will, in turn, boost your internet sales.

Another important factor to consider, when determining if you need
assistance boosting your internet sales, is if you have the knowledge needed
to do so. If you developed your own internet business, there is a good
chance that you are smart and resourceful, but developing a business around
something that you love is different than learning about website marketing.
That is why you may find it somewhat difficult to absorb all of the
information that you find, when researching how to boost your internet
sales. Whether you don't have the time needed to learn, you don't want to
learn, or if you find everything that you are learning too overwhelming, you
could benefit from seeking professional assistance. As previously mentioned,
that professional assistance should come from an internet marketing firm
that specializes in SEO.

Perhaps, the most obvious sign that you need assistance, from an internet
marketing firm specializing in SEO, is if you ever wondered what you are
doing wrong. Have you ever said to yourself "is there anyone out there who
can help me boost my internet sales?" If so, you could definitely benefit
from acquiring the services of a professional internet marketing firm that
specializes in SEO. As nice and as money saving as it is to increase your
own internet traffic or boost your own internet sales, it can be a difficult
process. That is why if you tried to boost your own internet sales, but you
didn't end up seeing the results that you wanted, you may want to think
about hiring a professional to give you the assistance that you and your
business needs to survive.

If any of the above mentioned factors apply to you, you are advised to
contact a professional internet marketing firm, particularly one that has
some search engine optimization experience. In fact, regardless, it may be a
good idea to request a free quote. A large number of internet marketing
firms, including SmokeDog.net, will provide you with free online quotes.

Quick Cash for the Holidays

Thanksgiving is upon us, which means the holiday season is in full swing.
Christmas, Hanukah and Kwanzaa are right around the corner and with them the
expense of food, gifts and travel.

If you are the organized sort of person, you're already prepared. You picked
up gifts throughout the year, thereby spreading out the expense of holiday
gift giving. You bought your plane tickets several months ago taking
advantage of lower airfares. If you are that sort of person, this article is
not for you. This article is for the person like me who is faced with
spending hundreds of dollars in the next few weeks because I waited until
now to start preparing for the holidays. Fortunately, there are some fast
and easy ways to make some extra money during the holiday season without
getting a second job.

My favorite way to make quick cash is through Amazon.com's MarketPlace and
eBay. These resources offer fast and easy ways to not only make money, but
also rid your home of clutter.

My first stop is always at Amazon.com because of its ease of use
particularly if you have books, CD's or software in good condition. I have
made $110 in a single week selling my gently used books through Amazon.com.
To open an account, visit Amazon.com and scroll down the page until you see
the "Make Money" box on the left. Click on "Sell Your Stuff" and follow the
instructions for opening an account.

Once the account is open, log into your Amazon Seller's account and click
the option to sell items. You can search for the product by name or use the
ISBN, UPC or ASIN number located near the bar code on the back of the
product. Input the number where indicated, list the condition of the item,
add a few comments about the item, input your price, and submit. Amazon.com
does the rest including adding a picture, processing the payment, and direct
depositing the money into your account 14 days later.

Amazon charges you nothing until/unless your item sells.
The fee is .99 cents plus a percentage of the sold price.
Amazon also gives you a shipping credit to cover the cost of mailing your
item to the buyer.

For example, if you sell a book for $12.00:
- Amazon's commission is $2.79 (0.99 + 15%)
- Postage credit for a book is $3.34
- Media mail for one pound or less is = $1.59
- Your net income is $10.96 ($12.00 - 2.79 + 3.34 -1.59)

eBay is another great way to generate income fairly quickly. I use eBay only
if the item I have cannot be sold through Amazon.com because it takes more
time to list items at eBay. I especially like eBay for my novelty items such
as infomercial products or things I'm not sure how to price. To open an
account, visit eBay and click on "Register". Once you are registered, log
into your eBay account and click on "Sell".

Some items such as book, eBay may have a stock photo you can use. For other
items, you'll need to take a picture to add to your listing. Follow the
directions for listing your item including adding a picture and description.

eBay charges you for listing your products whether they sell or not, but its
very reasonable and only once have I not had an item sell. The insertion fee
ranges from .20 cents to $4.80 depending on price of the item. eBay offers
optional listing feature such as "Buy It Now" or "Gallery Listing" for
additional fees. The only other required fee is the final value charge which
is a 5.25%+ of the sold cost. Shipping costs can be covered by you or passed
on to the buyer.

For example, if you sold a $12.00 item on eBay:

- Insertion fee = .60 cents
- Final value fee = .63 cents
- Shipping you can have the buyer pay (priority mail up to
1 pound) = $4.05
- Your net income = $10.77 ($12 - .60 - .63 + 4.05- 4.05)

Ten dollars may not seem like much, but if you sell 10 items, you'll make
over $100. Or you can offer more expensive items. With a little effort, you
can have an extra $100 or more in a week. Who couldn't use that? Plus,
you'll be getting rid of clutter you don't need.

Here are some tips to quickly and easily earn some fast cash through
Amazon.com and eBay:

1) Go through your home and gather all the items that are in decent
condition and that you are willing to sell. The best items I have found are
non-fiction books, electronics and electronic accessories, software and name
brand gizmos for Amazon's. eBay is great for infomercial products, old eBay
items you don't use, name-brand clothes (especially kids clothes), toys
(Legos are a big hit!), collectables and memorabilia, and novelty items.

2) When listing, be honest about the condition. You don't want to hurt your
selling reputation by not mentioning marks or other faults with the item.

3) Price items to sell. Your goal is quick cash so consider pricing items
lower than the competition. Of course, at eBay, the market will drive the
ultimate sale price, but start low and don't put a reserve price (price that
must be met for the item to sell). There is some indication that items with
a lower starting bid often get higher sales than similar items with a higher
starting bid.

4) Finally, once you receive payment for the item, ship it ASAP. Package it
so it's safe and secure. Print out the name and address of the buyer and
tape it to the package to make sure you don't misspell the address. eBay
offers a great feature in which you can print postage right from your
computer printer. Stamps.com also offers online postage services to save you
a trip to the post office.

Now is a terrific time to make quick money using Amazon.com and eBay because
many people are holiday shopping for quality items at reasonable prices
online. It's win-win for people who want to save and people who want to earn
some extra holiday cash.

Get Your Website To Profit With The Best Affiliate Programs Available

The Internet is one of the most frequently used tools for communication
today. There are over millions of people who log on to the Internet every
single day. Besides, with the benefits that the Internet gives, who wouldn't
want to be a part of this information superhighway.

With the Internet, you can communicate with your family and friends through
emails and instant messengers, you can purchase goods and services without
leaving your own home, and the Internet is one of the most promising income
generating tools that everyone can use today.

In the past, you needed products or services in order to make money through
the Internet. Today however, you can make money through the Internet by
using affiliate programs. This program will allow you to make a substantial
amount of money out of your website and is a very good home business that
you would want to get in to.

First of all, you need to know what an affiliate program is and how it works
in order to fully understand how you can make some money out of it.
Affiliate programs is like a joint venture where you or your website becomes
a partner with another website that have already developed a product or
service that they are already selling in the Internet. As a partner, your
job is to direct the visitors of your website to your partner website and
hope that they will purchase the products or services being offered. Your
website will be like the company's marketing arm, among several.

The company you plan on being affiliated to will be providing all the
necessary tools that you need in order to start the affiliate program. They
will be providing the links, and some companies will provide free e-books on
how you can effectively earn from affiliate programs.

The best way to profit from your website through affiliate programs is by
promoting your website in the Internet. The key to success in affiliate
programs is targeted traffic. This is why you should think of a product or
service that you would want to promote and also a product or service that
you are knowledgeable about. Think about your hobby. For example, if you
like fixing cars, you want an affiliate program that promotes cars, or car
parts.

In your website, you will then discuss about your hobby. Make some articles
and post it in article publishing websites and also in your own site. Since
your affiliate program is selling cars or car parts or even car accessories,
the traffic you generate in your website will have a greater chance of
clicking the link or banner of your affiliate website and buy from that
website. You will then earn a commission out of the sold product.

As you can see, it is very simple to earn money from affiliate programs.
However, when you are just starting out in the business of affiliate
programs, you have to work hard to establish your reputation as an expert in
the product or service you are promoting. The best way to do this is publish
your articles about a particular product frequently. This will build your
reputation in the Internet and soon, you will get that targeted traffic you
have been always wanting. It is also a good idea to update your website once
in a while (once a
week) with tips and tricks on a particular product.

The best thing about affiliate programs is that you don't have to be in
front of your computer 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
All you need is a few minutes of checking up in your website and also check
out your earnings in your affiliate programs.
Always remember to update your website frequently in order to keep your
readers and keep them buying from your affiliate website.

Why Reseller Programs Are Commendable Type Of Business

Eight to five job - a common type of work schedule most people have.
Sometimes they even go beyond the usual eight-hour work day and are forced
to do overtime. Yet there are individuals who despite continuous and
diligent working receive salary which is insufficient to meet their needs.

With this kind of dilemma, more individuals look for secondary job which
does not belong to the customary eight-to-five job.
There are people who choose to have freelance jobs. The internet is a good
venue to look for freelance jobs. You can start entering the world of
"reseller programs."

A reseller program works in such a way that you turn into a product or
service dealer of a specific company. The major tasks you are cope with this
type of work are the following:

You will determine the price of the products or services you will
sell.

You may be task to supervise and carry out the customer's billing
information.

You are responsible to submit to the company you are working with
all pertinent information they need to be able to process the order.

The tasks being handed over to you have equivalent benefits to it. Just make
sure that you do not abuse the power you have in your hands.

The Price of the Product

Once you sign up to be a reseller, the company will then provide you with
the terms and conditions you must follow. The company will also give you the
products or services you are permissible to sell. Afterwards, the company
will then give you the specific prices for the products or services you
obtained.

What is good about reseller programs is your ability to name the price after
you have obtained the company price. You need to work on a price scheme
which will be reasonable for your target market and at the same time
profitable on your part.

Customer's Billing Information

You will have gain access to your customer's billing information. Make good
use of those. It will be an advantage to you since you can formulate
different ways and means to create a functional mailing list for future use.

It is highly important to secure your customer's billing information for
their safety. Remember, you are protecting their trust. Trust is essential
to make good business with your target audience. Perhaps, it is not just now
that you need them.
You might need them in your future business transactions, but if you break
the rope of trust you have established then they will not close a single
deal with you anymore.

Proper Information Dissemination

You will keep your business going steady if you learn how to effectively
work with the company you have signed-in to do business with. You are
expected to follow the rules. Most importantly, you are responsible in
accurately disseminating information to them.

Good business with your company will bring you much advantage - the
freelance job you need, the exposure to the business, and most importantly
the money you have to raise to meet your needs.

A reseller program can serve a helpful bridge so that you will meet your
immediate wants and needs. All it takes is for you to have a better grasp to
become a good reseller. If you know the ins and outs of the business then
you can expect more of what an eight-to-five job can offer.

It Is Internet Marketing Doublespeak: The Offer Is Free (But It Is Not Free)

Imagine my surprise in mid-October when I opened my e-mail account and found
this greeting from an apparent big time Internet Marketing guru: "I'm giving
you FREE tickets to a world-class Internet Wealth-Building Workshop, being
held in Seattle . . . "

As if that were not enough, the guru then offered to enter my name into a
drawing for "a FREE 30-Minute Consultation (valued at $798) with one of my
personal team of Internet marketing specialists who work on my $60,000,000
businesses . . . "

Wow, can you believe someone would charge $798 for a 30-minute consultation?
I wondered how much of the $798 per half hour the guru would pay his
marketing specialist who did the consulting for him.

The guru pointed out that a seminar of this caliber would normally cost
$1,500 to $4,950 for the two-day presentation.

Now this was not some "puny" guru making only $100,000 a year on the side
(generally working only one or two hours a day), or even some more
successful guru knocking down a million a year in revenue with an automated
system that allows him to be practically vacationing year around on some
exotic island.

No sir, some would consider this guru to be the guru of gurus. Sixty million
dollars in revenue (not net income) is an impressive figure, unless, of
course, your operating costs are $61 million. Clearly, this guru is
recognized as very successful at what he is doing, and I do not doubt it.

After being reassured in his e-mail that "There's no catch, your tickets are
100% FREE," how could I miss? I did what any good, unsuspecting newbie would
do, I clicked on the link to claim my FREE tickets (I knew they were really
free because he kept putting the word free into all caps, as in FREE).

Immediately I was taken to what is called a sales page (in this case, sales
pages as the offer went on for 32 pages).
I was thankful I had set aside some reading time to take advantage of the
offer.

After being reassured that I would learn "How to Grow A Wildly Lucrative
Internet Business In 45 Days Using A Favorite Hobby Or Job . . . And Make An
Extra $8,750-$12,500 Per Month Investing As Little As 10 Hours Per Week" I
was encouraged to register immediately in order to qualify for the
"30-Minute Consultation" as the first 100 people to register would be
automatically entered in the drawing.

This urge to register was followed by a clever countdown device that showed
the estimated time left to qualify for the consultation, and you could feel
it counting down in the days, hours, minutes and seconds left to qualify (I
am sure this had nothing to do with pressuring the prospect; obviously this
was only intended to make the prospect aware of a lost opportunity).

It all sounded really great, and apparently anyone could do it because there
followed three personal stories and testimonies by "Unlikely Entrepreneurs"
who had made it happen. "So, What's The Catch?" asked the e-mail. Answer:
There is none, "And yes, your ticket will be 100% FREE!"

A detailed explanation of the material to be shared in the
11 Wealth-Building Sessions followed, and then no less than
13 more testimonials about the wonderfulness of it all, followed by another
10 prominent mentions of the fact that the tickets are FREE, the last one
saying "So there's no catch. Your tickets are 100% FREE!"

And then this: "All I ask is that to keep tire-kickers who have NO intention
of coming from filling seats, you must please reserve your seat with a small
$97 deposit which will be promptly refunded when you attend the event!

"I'm sure you'll agree this is both a fair and reasonable request, since I'm
spending over $57,592.82 to host this event." (At the $97 rate, it would
apparently take 594 marketers registering to cover his up front costs. I
think I am being made to feel bad if I do not pony up for an event he chose
to offer and fund.)

After being admonished again to sign up NOW if not sooner, I click to the
registration form only to learn that "I agree to pay a small refundable seat
reservation deposit of US $97 per ticket to prove my commitment to being
there. I know that, as promised - I'll get back my full $97 per ticket after
I attend the seminar!"

(Did I just understand the author to say that my $97 deposit will be
refunded after I attend the seminar, and it is over? No, silly. I think he
said that after attending his seminar, learning and retaining the
information received, I will more than recoup my $97 seminar investment in
the profits I will make when applying his techniques and
secrets.)

So the actual ticket to his seminar is free, but it is not free. Friend, you
are not going unless you pony up the $97.
I had thought the word free meant without charge. Maybe that was just where
I grew up.

The last paragraph of this 32-page sales pitch had this in its disclaimer:
"if for any reason we need to cancel this event (for example, because of bad
weather or because only a couple of people registered) we will refund your
seat reservation fee, but we will not be held responsible for any additional
expenses you many incur preparing to attend this event (like making hotel
reservations, taking a day off of work, or renting a car to attend)."

It got me to thinking that if the seminar is in fact worth $1,500 to $4,950,
$97 would seem to be a very reasonable price. Why not just say so up front,
instead of lulling people along before you bring down the hammer?

Perhaps because saying so up front would immediately cause a lot of
marketers to move on without reading the entire 32-page sales pitch? All of
which proves, I guess, that if you use the word FREE enough times, marketers
will read 32 pages of whatever it is you are hawking.

This marketing formula for writing a sales pitch is hardly unique. Almost
any marketer can open his or her e-mail tomorrow and read the same formula
repeated in 100 different sales pitches for another opportunity to provide a
product, service, or attend a seminar. The pitch will be in English, the
language will be in doublespeak.

What is an Affiliate Datafeed?

Once you've been working with affiliate programs for a little while, you may
come across a term that's new to you: Datafeeds. Many affiliates have heard
of them, but they either don't know what they are or they don't know how to
use them. So let's look at the basics.

Affiliate datafeeds are simply product databases. Actually, they look a lot
like spreadsheets. In fact, they can be imported to general spreadsheet
programs for easier editing, sorting and manipulation.

Affiliate datafeeds are not the same as an RSS feed, and this is a common
mistake many affiliates and webmasters make. RSS feeds are snippets of news
and articles, but datafeeds are pure products.
Affiliate datafeeds usually contain physical products such as cell phone
batteries, lamps, or other everyday items people buy from stores. There are
thousands of datafeeds available online, but they're not always easy to get
or easy to use.

In some affiliate networks for instance, you have to actually pay to access
the merchant datafeeds... unless you're a super affiliate who earns $10,000
or more in commissions every month. In other networks they're completely
free to use, as long as the merchant grants you access to them. Whether you
pay to access datafeeds or not though, you're on your own when it comes to
using them on your website.

Since a datafeed is raw data, it contains hundreds or thousands of lines of
product information that is not web-ready. The affiliate has to organize,
manipulate and display that data themselves. There are a few software
programs that can help automate a lot of this though, and depending upon
which one you choose, you may find yourself with more or less work to do.

Using affiliate datafeeds is an advanced affiliate marketing tactic that is
not for the weak at heart. But the payoff is... you can make a heck of a lot
more money with them.

Affiliate marketers who build websites with datafeeds end up with a large,
e-commerce style shopping website. The site may have tens of thousands of
products on it, or it may have just a few hundred.
Because you're promoting actual products that people are specifically
looking for though, you tend to make many more sales over time. This is
especially true if you have a lot of targeted traffic visiting your site.
Instead of people coming to look for information, how to guides and general
articles, they're specifically looking for a product to buy. Thus when they
find it on your site, they click through to the merchant and buy... leaving
you with the commissions.

So, once the initial work is done and you start generating traffic, an
affiliate datafeed website can be quite profitable for a long time to come.

What is Long Tail Marketing?

If you do any kind of Internet or Affiliate Marketing, you may have heard of
the term "long tail". There's a print hardback book and a website where the
original discussions on this started, but in general it's similar to a "low
hanging fruit" marketing strategy.

Now just in case you haven't heard that term before either, let me try to
explain, because this is the same thing as targeting a "niche"
market as well. Let's say you decide to target the weight loss market with
your internet or affiliate marketing efforts. Maybe you plan to make an
information based website to generate income from AdSense, or maybe you plan
to create a weight loss ebook to sell outright, or maybe you want to create
an affiliate product shopping site to sell weight loss products.

No matter how you plan to make money with this market, you probably know
from the start that it's extremely competitive. And that's because it's a
very broad market. Weight loss can mean any number of things. So if you know
a little bit about marketing online, you might quickly decide to tackle just
one small piece of that market to start with. So you'll start looking for
smaller niches within that bigger one. Losing fat, Losing ten pounds, or
Lowering calories for example.
These are smaller niches within the weight loss niche, but they have less
competition.

Now to get the "long tail" or "low hanging fruit", you need to zero in even
further. Something like "lose ten pounds in ten days" for instance. This
phrase is longer, thus it's likely to have much less competition than
"weight loss". At the same time, it's not likely to get nearly as many
searches each day either. But that's where the long tail, or low hanging
fruit strategies come into play.

In short: You try to generate traffic to pages and websites that have very
small searches each month. And you try to make as many of those pages and
sites as you can. This way, you have a better chance to rank well for each
page, and you can combine the power of the trickle effect.

For example, let's say you create a product shopping site using affiliate
datafeeds. Almost by default, these pages are optimized for the long tail
marketing strategy, because they're optimized for very specific phrases.
When someone searches for a specific product name, your website or page is
more likely to come up in the search engine results above a general or
related topic page.

Using broader marketing strategies, you might create a page designed to
generate traffic from an overall niche. And while niche may get searched on
100,000 times each month, you'll struggle to get even part of one percent of
that traffic.

If instead you zero in and target a tiny specific area of that niche, you'll
have much less competition to deal with and your page or site will be lazer
targeted. And the specific page phrase you target might only be searched for
10 times each month instead, you're more likely to get a much larger portion
of that traffic straight to your page.

So if you create 1000 pages all designed to specifically target one
individual phrase that isn't searched for too often, that adds up.
1000 things being searched for 10 times each month is the equivalent of
10,000 searches. And if your site or page comes up in the top 5-10 results
in the search engines, you'll be much more likely to get a large chunk of
that traffic.

In other words: Targeting tiny little, seemingly unimportant words or
phrases can add up to a lot more traffic and income than targeting large,
popular markets.

Passive And Residual On-line Income, Is There A Difference?

There are so many trendy phrases on-line, as well as jargon that is too
technical for the average user, that sometimes it is hard to decipher it
all. Even with something so easy as passive income and residual income. Web
page upon web page is using the two terms interchangeably and that is wrong.
There is a slight, but significant, difference between the two.

Let us begin by going to the most basic difference, the definitions of both.

Passive Income - Income that is earned through investments, real estate or
certain internet ventures. Once the initial investment has been made
(whether it be in time or monetarily), the individual does not have to be
actively involved after that to make money. View yourself being passive and
what do you see?
Someone sitting, being lazy and inactive! That is just how passive income
works. You don't have to do anything to make the money you receive.

Residual Income - Payments made to an individual based on a specific time
table after a sale. The amount of each payment is normally a pre-agreed upon
amount. Although not an on-line example, royalties are considered to be
residual income.
Whether the person is a writer, an actor or an illustrator, these people get
paid for works that get sold and re-sold and placed into syndication.

When you look at these definitions, you can see that residual income can be
called passive income under most conditions, but the reverse is never the
case. Once you have put significant work into making the money, you are
looking at residual income that will turn passive with time.

So, when you are looking at making money on-line, there are some methods
that are 'passive' and some that are 'residual'.
Let us take a look at some from each category.

Passive Income Methods:

1. Search Engine Optimization, also known by the acronym SEO, is a passive
way to get income. When a search engine ranks you in the top 10, you will
get targeted Internet traffic to your site. Whether you are selling
products, a service, or just information, you can get passive income just by
getting those people to your site once it has been created.

2. Pay Per Click advertising, or PPC advertising, is a passive way to get
income. Although you must invest in the advertising, these targeted ads draw
business to your site. Once that has been set up with a PPC advertising
service, no time or effort is required on your part.

Once these methods of making money are in place, you sit back and have no
further investment of time or money ahead of you.
You simply enjoy the income.

Residual Income Methods:

1. Selling anything on-line, whether it is a good or service, where the fee
is automatically renewed every so often is a residual way to make income.

2. Network marketing which requires you to go out and get customers or find
representatives to get customers, from which you earn commissions every
month is a residual way to make income.

Affiliate programs fall somewhere between the two. Sometimes they will take
very little effort on your part, even from the start, so can be considered
passive. However, there are times when a great amount of effort is put forth
on your part and payments will be made in such a way that they would be
considered residual.

No matter which road you choose, both passive and residual income are great
ways to supplement your income or raise the level of your lifestyle. With
research, practice, and a little bit of good luck, you can make a good
amount of money with either.

Content: How Can It Help You Generate Traffic?

The term "content" when used by Internet Marketers refers to written words,
audios or videos. Incorporating content in your website can help you
generate more traffic in a number of ways.

How Does Content Help You Get More Traffic?
Search engines love website that offer valuable content. No matter what type
of site you have, you can leverage this to increase the traffic to your
website. Whether you have an online store, a forum, or a blog, you can add
content to generate traffic.

Also, visitors just plain love sites that offer free content.
Personally, if I go to a website that is just a storefront, I may be
hesitant to buy. However, if I come in and click around a bit and get to
know more about the owners and their products, I may just pull out my
wallet.

Plus, content makes websites "sticky". This means that, if a visitor comes
to a website and finds good information (in any format), they are more
likely to return than if they just land on a sales page.

How can you Add Content to your Website?
1. Add articles to your website. You can use a mix of your own unique
content, free reprint articles and Private Label Rights
(PLR) articles.

2. Add a blog. If you don't want to add articles directly to your site, then
create a blog where you can talk about your products or services and list
special offers. You can add articles to your blog, or simply chat and
showcase specials and uses for your products and services. Establish
yourself as an expert and people will come back for more.

3. Tweak your product descriptions. This is a simple way to increase the
content on your website (and, possibly, increase sales). Just add more text
to your product descriptions in your storefront - be more descriptive, and
you'll be providing more content.

4. Ask for comments and feedback. No matter what kind of website you have,
incorporating comments from others can help make your website more valuable.

5. Add testimonials. Simple and effective, testimonials not only make your
site appear more trustworthy, but they also add content for search engines.

6. Archive your newsletters. If you publish a weekly newsletter, archive
your previous issues on your website.

7. Add audio. It's simple and easy to record and publish audio online now,
with services that do everything for you. Interview someone or have someone
interview you. Include your interviews on your website for added credibility
and information for your visitors.

8. Frequently Asked Questions. Keep track of the customer service questions
you receive, and answer them on a FAQ page.
You'll add content and spend less time answering repeat questions from your
potential clients.

Niche Finding Home Based Business Income Opportunities

After you read this short article, you will feel empowered. You will gain an
edge over the majority of internet businesses because you will KNOW that
your idea has validity and an existing market. The big difference between a
successful internet business and a failed one is very simple; the successful
business has uncovered a profitable niche. So, exactly, what is a profitable
niche and how do you find one?
Read on and unveil a web power secret.

A profitable niche is simply a high demand, low competition market. This is
the one biggest factor that determines your online success. It doesn't
matter if you think you have the best, coolest, most unique idea in the
marketplace, if no one is interested in purchasing it, you will not make a
dime (and you will spend considerable time and resources finding this out!).
So, how in God's Green Acres, do you find a profitable niche that will allow
you to make good money and differentiate yourself from your internet
competitors?

Most niche finding articles that you will come across will tell you to focus
and build on your passions and interests. This is a good start but only
gives you part of the picture. I am going to suggest starting with this and
brainstorm on each idea but with one crucial difference. THINK
PROFITABILITY. Focus on things that keep your attention and your interest
but look at what hobbies you are putting your money into. I can't emphasize
this point enough, think bottom line. Make a list of these money making
ideas and I will show you how to determine if it worth your time and money
to pursue them a little later in the article.

The next area to look at would be at your demographic group.
What are people in your age group doing? What are they sinking their money
into? What about people at your work place? Where are they spending their
leisure time? Is there something at work that you noticed, that could save
considerable time and money? People WILL spend money on products that
fulfill a need.
Look at your friends, your family; what are they spending money on? Is there
something you can get into on the ground floor? Be open to new home based
business income opportunities and possibilities.

Two really good ways to find out what people are buying is to go to
http://www.amazon.com and look for the "Top Sellers"
section. You can also try http://www.ebay.com and look at the "Popular
Stores" section. Brainstorm ideas based on the product's target audience.
For example; if one of the items you found on Amazon's Top Sellers was a
music toy that helped children learn, you could infer that the term
"learning toy"
was something that is popular. Throw learning toy into Google and brainstorm
off the results. Make a good list of associated keywords.

To find products that don't require you to buy and stock them, the digital
arena is where you want to head. One of the best ways that I have found out
what is hot is to subscribe to newsletters. You don't want to subscribe to
just any newsletters; you want to pick established ones. I suggest trying
Joe Vitale, Mike Rasmussen and Anik Singal to start with. These guys are on
the cutting edge and give lots of good stuff away for free. One niche that
has caught my attention is membership sites, it's a young market and it has
the potential to be explosive.

To really determine profitability you need to find out what kind of search
numbers your ideas are generating. To take the learning toy example go to
the Overture Search tool at http://inventory.overture.com/. Look at the
keyword results for "learning toy". By looking at the results from that
search, you should get ideas for a good smaller market within the larger
"learning toy" keyword.

I hope that this eye opening advice on finding profitable niche home based
business opportunities has been of value. To really find something that is
going to work for you;

1. Look at what interests you, your family, your friends, your co-workers,
etc. are spending money on

2. Go to http://www.amazon.com top sellers and see what people are spending
their hard earned cash on

3. Subscribe to some top internet marketers newsletters, like Joe Vitale,
and see what's hot right now in the digital world

4. Brainstorm ideas and make a list of keywords based on what you see people
spending money on

5. Go to the Overture free keyword tool
(http://inventory.overture.com/) and plug in your keywords.
Look for a large number of searches and related sub niche keywords

Get out there and find out what's moving, what's hot and what interests you.
This is one of the magic keys to becoming successful on the internet.

When you begin a home based business income opportunity from the ground up
using the niche finding techniques presented here, you are 99% ahead of the
rest of the crowd. Do your research, have fun with it and you will reap the
rewards.

Make Associate Programs An Extra Income

Do you have a connection with another site that can offer something new?
Then you should know more about an associate program or sometimes called
partnership program. This is where the companies selling products or
services online gives a part of their profits as a commission on any sales
you create for them by introducing new customers.

These have become very popular for both companies who are looking for an
increase in sales and websites who have been inadequate in producing some
earnings. Whether you have a website that sells a certain product/service or
a website that has nothing to sell, you should not stop from joining related
associate program for your website, product or service because it can give
you additional earnings.

Some companies who offers associate program usually weigh their compensation
rates in terms of those sites that send the most clicks and converted actual
sales. When somebody reaches an industrial site and make some purchase from
the site, you will get a commission for that as a return.

You will greatly benefit when you join any associate programs that are
related to your business that definitely would sell other products or
businesses to your clients. Indeed, it's really an additional source of
gaining cash.

The examples of companies that have affiliate programs are the software
retailer http://Beyond.com and bookseller http://Amazon.com wherein anyone
can have affiliation with these commercial sites and direct people to visit
them.

By using the associate program, every one has a chance to add a significant
value to any website. And a good quality website can become more valuable
and dynamic if it offers a wide variety or different products and services
as an associate.

There are also several types of associate programs like the Web Cards. This
is an associate program that pays one dollar to affiliates each time a
consumer asks for a free sample of their merchandise. The product is
actually a postcard of an image or a website. Wherein the user does not need
to spend some money yet an affiliate gets a small fee for it.

One should remember that associate programs increase the usefulness of a
site only if the commercial site offers the users something valuable. An
associate program may affect the accessibility of a site, but it will make
it easy and convenient for users, they may visit a site searching for a
product or service that it does not offer. However, the site can at least
direct the customer to another site that offers that particular product or
service. People would definitely like to revisit a site that leads them to a
good purchase. That is a very important factor to have a good rapport with
the client.

For the success of an associate program, it is necessary to make sure that
the content of a site matches the program.
Otherwise, the visitors may get irritated. For example, if one has a website
on watches, it is better to keep away from giving a link to a pastry shop.
It will just give a negative impression to the customers about the products
and the company.

When joining an associate program and reselling their products or services,
there are critical things that needs to be considered because your customers
are also counting on you for the good recommendations that you will make and
your reputation will depend on it.

It is really valuable if one would join an associate program because of the
benefits that they will get, but if you are serious in joining a program you
should first get and try the product or service of the company before
recommending it to somebody or to a customer.

Establishing A Representative Office In China: Restrictions

Chinese foreign investment law does not permit a Representative Office to
carry out direct business activities. It is limited to activities such as
market research, product promotion, and liaison. It may not charge fees for
its services or engage in profit-making activities such as direct sales or
marketing.

A Representative Office should take special care when performing the
following activities:

Billing Procedures: A Representative Office may neither collect money for
its parent company nor invoice clients directly - this must be handled by
the parent company. This is a tricky and ambiguous area, and it would be
wise to subject your Representative Office's billing procedures to the
scrutiny of a competent professional in China to ensure that it is not
operating outside of its scope of business.

Signing Contracts: All contracts must be signed by the parent company,
although a Representative Office can negotiate contracts that are later
signed by its parent company.

Employing Staff: Unlike Joint Ventures and Wholly Foreign Owned Enterprises,
a Representative Office cannot directly hire employees - it must use an
authorized human resources agency.
Although most of these agencies are affiliated with local governments, a few
are private. Many Representative Offices get around some of the inevitable
inconveniences by independently seeking employment candidates, having the HR
agency 'refer'
these candidates to them, negotiating salary, etc. directly with these
candidates and then having the HR agency make the official hiring referral
to the Representative Office. The HR agency would then take a percentage of
the employee's salary each month. Although the above-described flexibility
with the rules is common, it is best not to go any further in treating the
HR agency as a formality because a number of Representative Offices that
have tried to skirt these requirements have been closed.

A draft Labor Contract Law is widely expected to be enacted soon. Assuming
that the enacted law is identical to the draft that is currently in
circulation, Representative Offices will be allowed to contract directly
with employees during the employees' first year of service.

Activities Outside the Normal Scope of the Parent Company: Even though
corporations in Western countries are generally allowed to participate in
"any lawful activity", in China a Representative Office is conceived of as
part of the overseas parent company and must act within the parent company's
usual scope of business rather than opening up an entirely new business for
its parent company (see this site's section on "Scope of Business" in the
"Glossary" section for further details on the "scope of business" concept in
China.
