Online Coupons And Deals: How To Find Them

Everyone's in the game these days, even Google announced in August that they
would be offering online coupons. If anyone has used a search engine to look
for coupons or discounts on products they know how daunting a practice it
can be. With monthly search queries in the millions, coupons and discounts
(and variations on these terms) might some day exceed Paris Hilton in the
search rankings. When searching "coupons" or a similar keyword on Google,
Yahoo or any other search engines you quickly discover hundreds of results
but perhaps not exactly what you're looking for.

Typically your results fall into these categories of websites:
incentive reward programs, printable national brand coupons, local shopping
websites, directories/portals and online discount aggregators.

Incentive Reward Programs - These sites leverage their affiliate commissions
as incentives to consumers. For example if a consumer visits their website
they are presented with a 15% discount offer from a leading computer
manufacturer, if the consumer clicks on the link and purchases the computer
the website is paid a commission of which a portion is credited to the
consumer. Many times this is disguised as a member rewards program or points
club.

Printable National Brand Coupons - These websites compile national brand
coupons and offer instant print capabilities once you download their
proprietary print software. Most of these websites force the user to
register in the process of downloading the print software. The leaders in
this category have evolved from traditional direct mailers or large
newspaper conglomerates that can source a pool of coupons from national
brands found in your Sunday paper.

Local Shopping Websites - These websites tend to be very geographic specific
in their content and are usually smaller in overall user visits though they
usually do a great job of promoting local businesses such as pizza
restaurants and specialty shops. Many times local radio and TV station
websites work this way adding additional exposure for their advertisers.

Directories/Portals - Yes the phone companies are in the game.
As a matter of fact the phone companies are probably one of the best suited
for this market since the greatest challenge is sourcing the relevant
content (coupons). Lucky for them they already have a national advertising
sales network that they use to sell advertising in their phone books.

Local & National Savings Aggregators - These are the sites that pull all of
the above content together under one website with the hopes of making online
discount searching an easier and more successful endeavor.

As more and more advertisers embrace the Internet expect to see the
extinction of coupons and discount ads as you know them.
Perhaps the piles of Yellow Pages on the curb are a telling sign.

Keyword Selection - Finding A Good One! - Part 1

How do I attract more traffic to my website?

What are the best Keywords to use for my niche product?

What keywords should I use for ad words?

Why is my site not making money?

These are common questions for the newbie, and for many not-so.

With a little experience, you see how much you don't know!

Keywords are a big part of SEO (search engine optimization), and much time,
money and effort is spent researching the most popular keywords for a
particular use.

What many people forget, is that selling something on the internet, whether
it is your site, your product or your affiliate promotion, is really no
different from selling anything anywhere.

The thing they always seem to forget is the law of Supply and Demand. If
there is a demand for something, you can sell it. If there is a plentiful
supply the buyer has plenty of choice, and will not need to buy from a
particular supplier or at any particular price.

To make a living selling something, goods, services, whatever it may be, we
must have a demand. And to be able to sell our product, the buyer should
have a limited choice of sellers.

There are a couple of ways of finding something with a demand.
The first is by advertising to convince people they need a particular
product - creating a demand. This is what the Ad Agencies excel at. Whether
they are selling soap powder or politicians, they can do it. But have you
seen the cars the account executives drive? Sounds expensive!!

The second way is to find something already in demand. Not only this but it
would be nice if this demand was for something in short supply! Then all we
have to do is supply the thing in demand with little competition.

This is how we must choose our keywords. Sure start off with a list of the
most popular keywords for your chosen topic, say games. Check overture for
games, and get a list using this word. But now check Google and see how much
information is available for each of these words.

Find a few with a good "Demand", say over 500 searches in the last Month.
Then match them up with the "Supply" from Google (results show "first 10 of
250,000,000 total" etc).

Now work out what gives the best ratio of "supply" to "demand"
(supply should be less than say 1 million). Now the biggest ratio from this
little calculation is your Best Keyword, say for the home page of your niche
web site. The next ones are also useful, for example one per topic for each
page.

Can you see an application to suit your requirements? - it works!

5 Ways A Reader Can Respond To Your Article.

When reading your article a reader can get warmed up and react on your
article in several ways. A responsive reader will want
to:

1) Visit your website link in the resource box

This is probably the most common response people seem to go to, even if it
is the wrong one. People are so fixated with wanting their readers to go to
their websites and buy straight away.

Tell me something, how many strangers on the Internet have you brought
something from because they just told you a great story? None right?

You have to preheat (or presell your readers) the oven before you can ask
for their credit card details.

Sending your readers to your website will usually result in a lower sales
percentage straight off the bat. That is of course if you are selling them
anything at all.

If you were selling them something, the best bet would be to send them
straight to your newsletter signup link in your resource box.

But if you are sure you want to send them to your website, the best way to
do that is to tell your readers (in your article) that if you go to your
website (in your resource box), there is a free gift (of value) they can
get, just by visiting your site.

Make sure if you do this, it's not a blatant plug for a product and the gift
is of real value, or very few publishers will publish your article, and
fewer readers will respond to you in the future. No one likes being sold
straight off the bat, and by giving them a free gift, or getting them to
give you their email address some way is the best way to go.

2) Visit your affiliate link

This one is quite tricky.

For starters, some publishers don't allow you to put affiliate program links
in your article at all, and if you do, they have to be completely in context
and it must be one brilliant article, but that's not a problem.

You can of course put an affiliate link in your resource box, which would be
allowed straight away.

3) Subscribe to your mailing list.

This is one of the better options. Why, because when they sign up for your
mailing list, they are giving you permission to contact them via email on a
regular basis.

It would be very hard in your article to announce your mailing list in
context of the article, as it would come off as a blatant plug, so the best
bet would be to include your subscribe email address in your resource box.

Send them to a splash page where you can capture their email address. Or let
your readers to send a blank email to your autoresponder/mailing list email
address and subscribe from there. Give them a free gift, something of value.

4) Refer your article to others

If you want your readers to refer your articles to other people, here is
what you do.

(This is a good idea if you have affiliate links in your
article)

You send them to a website, with a refer a friend script. This website also
has your previous articles on there as well in an easy to use site.

You see how many possibilities there are.

By giving them something in return with value, like a free 5-day course, you
get them to refer your article/website to their friends.

5) Contact you personally

If you want people to contact you personally, don't make them dig through a
website to find your contact details. At the very least, put your email
address in your resource box, if not your business phone number.

5 Profitable Reasons Why Forums Are Great For Your Internet Marketing Business

You probably already know the posting in forums is a great way of driving
extra traffic to your site, but do you know the other not so obvious reasons
why forum posting can help your business?

Here are some reasons why you should post your comments in discussion
forums.

1. Trust and immediate hits to your page. When you help out someone in the
discussion and giving a good answer to his problem, you will seem
knowledgeable about the discussed subject. As long as you are giving good
content and not spamming the boards, people will perceive you as someone
that knows his stuff.

You'll be able to communicate with the members and they'll begin to develop
trust with you because they get to know you on a more personal level. If
you know anything about human nature, people will purchase products quicker
from somebody they already know and trust.

Once the trust is there, they will see your signature file and click on your
link and there's your immediate traffic you get from the board!

2. Get indexed at major search engines. Major search engines are great at
indexing highly active discussion boards. This means that you have a better
chance of having your posts in the major search engines, which means more
traffic if you are involved in a hotly debated discussion!

3. Your post will likely be archived. The owner of the board will usually
archive a discussion for future reference. And when people go into
discussion boards they sometimes want to search for a topic quickly and get
an answer.

That's when that person hits on the topic you have posted and you'll get
more hits. Wouldn't it be great for you to get more hits just for helping
someone out in the forums last year?

4. New ideas for your new products. You can post a question or concern to
the board and get some very good responses about your market's major
problems. So instead of guessing what kind of problems people are
struggling with, you are getting a better answer from real people with real
concerns!

And once you've identified the problem, it is much easier for you to create
the solution and sell to your market! It takes out the guesswork of finding
out what the real problem is in your market and that will give you a better
idea for a solution!

Once you've got a clear answer, you can more effectively find the solution
by doing research in the right places.

5. Gather information and write a book. You can save every post you made
and combine it into an e-book! Take out the posts that people thought were
intelligent and truly groundbreaking and you instantly have an e-book of
tips and advice.

Those are the five major reasons why posting on discussion boards are
effective. You can learn important information about your market by reading
the conversations they have with each other and armed with this information
you can market your products more effectively.

And in conclusion, discussion boards are generally a highly targeted group
of people that are more receptive to your products and services. So the
kind of leads is of higher quality. So to get more hits to your site, start
joining and contributing to the discussions!

How To Dominate Clickbank

If you're a "newbie" or newcomer to internet marketing, you may not have
heard about Clickbank. Clickbank is a company where you can become an
"affiliate" and promote over 10,000 products that other people have created.
You can also create your own product and promote it through Clickbank. These
products are usually "ebooks" or electronic books, videos and audios that
you can download or access instantly through your computer. This type of
commerce is enormous these days, and practically everyone who is trying to
make money online is interested in using Clickbank. There are other
"affiliate marketing" websites, but Clickbank is one of the most popular.

How Clickbank Works

It is easy to sign up for a Clickbank account, but the rest of it can be a
little tricky. When you go to http://Clickbank.com, you will see many
products in just about any category, most of these being ebooks, videos or
audios. You can either do a search for a product in a specific category, or
you can just look at the lists, which include the most popular and new
products as well. Some of these products sell amazingly well and have made
both the owners and the affiliates a lot of money.

In order to promote a product as an affiliate, you will need to create your
affiliate ID link, and then you will have to figure out how to bring traffic
to your site. In this day and age, the traffic part of it can be somewhat
difficult and can require a learning curve. There are also some really great
products - offered through Clickbank as well - that can help you learn the
ins and outs of affiliate marketing, using Clickbank. Some of these teach
the basics, and some are more advanced. Most of these products do both, so
that you can keep referring to them later, as you learn.

If you are interested in making money online, you will probably want to head
to Clickbank and learn as much as you can about it.
In researching internet marketing and online money-making techniques, you
will likely come across Clickbank and other affiliate-marketing companies
over and over again. It's a great idea to start there, not wasting your time
or money trying to reinvent the wheel. You may also find out the hard way
that it is no longer a simple matter of cutting and pasting your affiliate
links to the products you find on Clickbank into forums or emailing them to
safelists or some other traffic-generating method. That's one reason why you
may want to follow up on your interest in Clickbank to find out what the
"superaffiliates" are doing today.

And if you are not a newbie but an intermediate marketer who is interested
in mastering Clickbank, you too can learn a lot from some of these new
"Dominating Clickbank" products. One video series could be like going to
"Clickbank U" for a whole lot less than that would cost!

Changing Your Affiliate Formula

Becoming an affiliate is one of the easiest ways to start a business online.
To start an online business, you are in fact using someone else's product or
service as leverage to create an income stream for yourself.

Not all Affiliates have grasped the correct formula it takes to succeed as
an affiliate. Some affiliates go from one program to the next instead of
choosing one and sticking with it until success comes. It takes perseverance
and commitment to gain success as an affiliate.

There is no one exact formula that works, but if you are using a formula or
method that is not working, then it's time to change your affiliate formula.
You may be promoting the wrong program; one that doesn't pay out enough to
sustain you or you may be using ineffective methods or formula for
advertising.

Most affiliate programs come with longer URL's than normal domain names. If
you are using your long affiliate URL, go to www.tinyurl.com to get a
shorter URL link. It will take the user back to your affiliate page, but it
gets rid of your long URL, which I think looks very tacky anyway. People
won't take you seriously if they see a long URL link like that of an
affiliate link.

If you are advertising on free classified ad sites, you may be wasting a lot
of your productive time and that formula may not work for the item or
service that you are promoting. Decrease the time you spend posting on free
classified ad sites and use your time to write an article or articles and
submit them to ezine owners or article directories. You can go to google or
yahoo and do a search for "ezines, ezine directory, article directories,
submit article." You will find a list of places that accept article
submission. Submit your article to no fewer than 10 ezines and 10 article
submission sites. Commit to writing at least 2 articles per week and submit
them. If you can do more, then that will greatly increase your bottom line
and enhance your formula. When you submit your article or your site to
various online directories, you generate hundreds of quality one-way links
to your site and anyone who searches these directories may find your article
or your sites description interesting & visit your site. From this you get a
large targeted audience. Make sure you pack your articles with targeted
keywords, but make sure that you don't overdo it. Give your audience good
information.

Do you know how to blog? If you don't know how, then do a search using the
popular search engines. Use keywords like, "blog, blogging," to search for
information on blogs. You can also go to blogger.com and wordpress.com to
create one. It can be done in three easy steps. You will get a blog URL
after you have created your blog. Submit that blog URL to blog directories,
which you will also find by searching the popular search engines. Make sure
you blog subject targets the audience you are trying to reach.

Have you tried google adwords yet? Google adwords formula is very effective
if you have a strong headline and eye-catching ad. You can go to
google.adwords.com to learn more about google adwords. Start out with $25
per day and as soon as you start receiving hits from you google ad, go ahead
and reduce your daily amount.

Another formula you can use instead of free classified ad sites is
discussion forums. Be careful when using discussion forums or you will be
considered a spammer. Create a profile and include a signature line with
your affiliate link. Introduce yourself first to the forum. Browse the forum
to learn how others are posting and if you make contributions to the forum,
make then count. Don't ever post ads to the forum. To find discussion
forums, go to google or yahoo and search for the type of discussion forum
you are looking for. If you go to www.big-board.com, you will find a big
list of forums to choose from.

If you want to continue to use your ads, use them in ezines as classified
ads or solo ads. This formula is much more effective. You an also try to
find a website owner who compliments your product or service that you are
trying to promote and ask them to do a joint venture with you. It can create
a win/win solution for all involved.

If you are not familiar with joint venture, I am going to recommend a free
ebook that will help you. It is free to download at
www.moneywithjointventures.com/freeoffer

Lastly, another formula that words is google adsense. Open a google adsense
account at google.adsense.com. Use the script that will be provided and
include it in your articles. Buy a domain name at godaddy.com and upload the
google adsense article to your hosting account. Google loves content rich
websites. Be sure to include your affiliate link in your article. You will
also make some extra money with the google ads that will be displayed in
your article from the script provided by google.

Changing your affiliate formula to one that works will guarantee your
success as an affiliate. If one formula doesn't work, try another, but don't
ever give up. Give the formula at least 30 days to see some glimmer of hope.
Try hard before abandoning your efforts. What works for one may not work for
the other. Keep on affiliating. It will pay off.

3 Types Of Websites...which Ones Are Right For You?

I'm sure you've heard multiple gurus tell you there is only one right way to
do business online. They're wrong. There isn't only one way. There are
multiple ways to reach new prospects and convert prospects into sales.

There also isn't just one way to design your website. Let's eliminate some
of the confusion and point out 3 of the ways you might design a site for
maximum response. In many businesses, you might find the best response of
all is to have 3 different websites that fit into each of these categories.

Website Method #1 - Lead Generation

A lead generation page is also sometimes called a "squeeze"
page. You have one goal with this type of site...to get people to give you
their contact information. You promise them some type of benefit in exchange
for their name and email address (in some cases additional information as
well).

You don't provide outside links on this page. You don't provide any free
content (unless people sign-up). You give visitors one purpose...to sign-up
for the list. This type of site will have the highest conversion of visitors
to email sign-ups.

A lead generation page is my favorite method to use with paid advertising.
If I'm paying for visitors, I want as many of them as possible to join my
list. The money is in the list.

Website Method #2 - Sales Page

This is similar to the lead generation site, because you only have one
primary purpose here as well. It's often called a mini-site because it
usually consists of one primary page and an order link. It looks simply like
a sales letter that you can scroll all the way down to read all of it.

Your highest conversion rates of visitors into buyers will usually come a
page like this. Visitors either buy your product or they leave the site.
There aren't any outside links to distract or confuse them. You're not
offering multiple products. A confused mind does not buy.

It's simple. You have this solution to their problem. You will find this
type of page converts extremely well for low cost items and for any price
item when the visitors are coming because of an endorsement.

If you're selling a high ticket item without an endorsement from another
site or newsletter, then I'd recommend using the lead generation page first.
Get people on your list so you can follow-up on them. Then take them over
the sales page for a good conversion rate.

Website Method #3 - Content Site

This type of site has been neglected by many people in online marketing
circles. The lead generation page gets the highest conversion of visitors to
subscribers, and the sales pages closes the most sales. Where does a content
site fit in the picture?

The content site is going to be the one to generate the most free traffic.
While you could use an affiliate program to generate free traffic to a lead
generation or sales page, a content site can generate traffic from search
engines, directories, incoming links, publicity, and more.

This site can become the free backbone that drives the traffic to your other
pages. You produce content pages (or have them produced for you). You work
on creating incoming links to your site. The site generates free traffic.
That's the goal here.

You then turn the traffic into cash by sending those visitors to your lead
generation or sales pages for better conversion rates. The content site
takes quite a bit more work than the other types of sites, but it's the one
generating all the free visitors.

Don't limit what type of content site you create. This could be free
articles. It might be videos. It could be a discussion board or a blog. It
could be something entertaining. Basically it's something of value that will
cause other sites to link to you.

Build your lead generation site. Build your sales page. But don't forget the
free traffic a content site can send you in the process.

How Do You Get Paid For Just Submitting Survey Forms?

Is it possible to get payed to do online surveys? This is a question that
gets asked a lot. Did you know that the online survey industry is currently
booming and you can actually earn money for surveys for free? For those who
are willing to spend some time each day (at home no less) to do the work
required, the earnings can add up quite fast.

Cash Paid Surveys are an extremely efficient way to earn extra money. It is
flexible, simple and takes very little work. Most people however aren't
prepared to put in the time or run out of patience doing them, so they
complain that there's not much that can be made from this.

Thousands of others would disagree, albeit quietly whilst they get on with
the work at hand & are too busy cashing in their checks to bother with the
naysayers.

It is a fact that many companies around the world, especially the large
successful ones, are constantly coming out with new products and/or services
into the marketplace. And they need accurate feedback on the product's
viability with the customers via such surveys and opinion groups.

The issue brought up will certainly have to do with the corporation who is
conducting the focus/survey group. There's a possibility you might not know
what the point of this focus group is. Or even the company that it is being
conducted for.
The purpose of the groups are to facilitate discussions amongst those
present regarding the product(s) at hand.

Online surveying of such opinions is one of the most cost-effective consumer
research methods in history (without the internet this would not have been
possible). So yes, you can definitely get payed to do online surveys, and is
certainly one of the best ways to make additional money part time.

There is more to the online paid survey industry than simply 'Yes and No'
answers; with longer surveys commanding higher payouts.

Why, What and How to use Autoresponders

Autoresponders are one of the most simple to use yet most effective
promotional tools created in recent times and are an essential requirement
for any online business. You may hear the terms, automatic emailer, email
responder, autobot or mailbot. Whatever the term, the important point is
that an autoresponder will automatically answer incoming email messages on
your behalf and once set up, will continue to do so indefinitely, without
further intervention from you.

No matter what task an autoresponder is performing, the biggest benefit it
offers is that of saving you time.
Autoresponders never take a break, they tirelessly work
24/7 all year round and for no extra pay, they very rarely get sick...(as
long as you have a reliable service provider), they never question your
decisions or the tasks you have set them and they follow your instructions
to the letter.

If you've noticed that I'm using the plural 'autoresponders' that is because
even though you will opt for one autoresponder service provider, every
campaign you run will need a separate autoresponder sequence, which is
simply a series of response messages concentrating on one specific issue.
For example; you may have an autoresponder set up to welcome new subscribers
to your newsletter and maybe follow through with a short series of related
messages. You will also need to set up another one to send out chapters of
your e-course over a predetermined time span. You will need yet another to
follow up with customers who have bought your ebook or special report and so
on.
Therefore you will be dealing with one autoresponder service provider
account with which you can run multiple campaigns, each one being known as
an "autoresponder".

We all realize that the Internet is growing day by day and will continue to
do so with thousands of new users coming online in a never-ending stream.
This means that you have an expanding international marketplace at your
disposal.
Naturally, competition is fierce...especially in certain markets (such as
internet marketing;-). There are many thousands of companies vying for
attention and business so you must do whatever it takes to get an "edge".
The last thing you want to happen is that you gain that edge, attract
hundreds of visitors to your site every day and then fail to capitalize on
the advantage you have worked hard to win.

Internet companies and marketers know full-well that bringing in visitors is
only the very first step in doing online business. What you must do next is
convert visitors into paying customers. They know from experience there is
no way they will convert every visitor, they also know that very few
visitors buy anything on their first visit. It's statistically proven that
it takes an average of five to seven visits before a person will pull out
the plastic and make a purchase online. Therefore it follows, to succeed on
the Internet you have to bring back those visitors time and time again until
they like and trust you enough to do business.

That is where autoresponders are indispensable. Successful online businesses
understand that to bring back potential paying customers they need to use
the autoresponder process to stay in touch with visitors. The most effective
technique is to offer visitors something as an incentive to return, which
could be something like additional information relating directly to the
site's theme (niche) in the form of an ebook or a free report.

If your website or blog already contains lots of useful information and/or
you produce a regular newsletter, your offer could be for free notifications
of new updates or a free subscription. Anything of quality will do as long
as it's about, or closely related to, the subject in which your visitors are
interested.

Your autoresponder will generate code for you to cut and paste into your
website or blog. This creates a subscription form that you can place just
below your offer for visitors to provide you with their name and email
address. You will then need to write a generic response to your subscribers'
requests and load it into your autoresponder for immediate response when
they submit the form.

Something like this may be appropriate: Hi (name), and thank you for
requesting more information about XYZ. You will receive the first part of
the mini-course as soon as you confirm your details by clicking this special
link http://www.1234abcd (not a real link) - Your details will never be
disclosed to anyone else and you can unsubscribe at any time "guaranteed"...
Regards, (your name).

This is what is known as double opt-in because your visitor has to confirm
their intention to be part of your subscriber list before then can receive
the first release of information. The information, in this case a
mini-course, would be a series of say, seven short reports about the subject
in which your subscriber is interested, each one pre-set to be released by
the autoresponder to your subscriber at specific intervals after their first
contact (e.g. Part 1 - released immediately, Part 2 - released on day 3,
Part 3 - released on day 5, Part 4 - released on day 7 etc.).

This high level response will show that you are serious about providing
quality information in a professional manner and will also cement your
relationship with subscribers who will feel increasingly more confident in
you as a person with which they can do business. The great advantage of
using this method of contact and delivery is that is provides a personal
service to individual clients on a scale that would otherwise be impossible
for a solo operator to achieve.

To most people, customer service ranks higher than price point and other
purchasing factors. Autoresponders help the individual business person to
provide that service in an easy and affordable way. Although your main
objective in business is to make sales, your first priority online should be
to offer top-flight information and thus capture as many names and email
addresses as possible. This is the absolute bedrock of any successful
Internet business.

Put your autoresponders to work and establish a sense of total trust within
your visitors...the sales will follow.
Your autoresponders will help to keep your customers and leads happy and up
to date with your information. Most of all, they will feel special because
you are sharing and taking good care of them.

FW: Article From SubmitYOURArticle: How To Write Articles That Get Instant Results

An article that gets attention can...

1. Drive targeted traffic to your site 24-hours a day 2.
Double, even triple your sales 3. Gain hundreds of valuable, incoming links
to your website increasing your search engine position 4. Automatically
fills your inbox with partnership and joint venture opportunities 5.
Increases your personal branding and credibility - you can dominate your
market 6. Springboard for more no-cost publicity such as interviews,
magazine articles, profiles, reviews, radio show coverage and more.

What's even more exciting is that you can accomplish so much of this with
just one or two very hot articles.

Now, true it may take you a few tries to really hit with one of your
articles, but there are some techniques that you can apply to increase
attention to your articles.

ARTICLE WRITING SECRETS THAT WILL GET THEIR ATTENTION

1. Choose Your Topic Wisely. Sounds simple, but here's what you need to do.
First, your topic must be relevant to what you are marketing. The problem
you address in your article must be the same or at least closely related to
the problem you are solving or desire you are fulfilling with your website.
Second, your topic must be intriguing.

2. Stand Out From The Crowd. What is the unique perspective, experience,
opinion, solution or value that you will bring to your topic? Publisher's
seek out information that stands out. For instance, can you provide hard
statistics based on testing? How about a detailed case study? Do you bring
a fresh perspective that will make someone say "that's awesome!"? Are you
targeting an area that is extremely popular, where the buzz factor is
already peaking?

3. Writing Style. You may have thought professional writers have the edge
here, in reality, the opposite is true.
Often, an informal, conversational, simple style wins out over a general,
fluffy or overly verbose style. Although they are professionals, ezine and
magazine publishers are real people that "feel" the tone of an article and
are always on the lookout for articles that will touch their readers as well
as inform them.

4. Be Specific, Be Focused. The best article writing comes when you are
addressing one main issue, problem or desire without losing focus and
jumping around. If you are writing about dog training, then you are better
to focus on one critical problem within dog training, don't try and cover
the entire topic in a 800-word article.

5. Understand How To Write An Effective Resource Box. I have to admit, this
one gets me every time. I am both a writer and ezine publisher, so often I
have come across well written articles that I choose to publish that I know
will not do a good job of delivering my reader to their website. After all,
the entire intent of your article should be to capture publisher and reader
attention, but ultimately, enticing them back to your website. How much
time does the average writer spend on refining the 4-5 line resource box
that follow their articles? In most cases, a few minutes, yet this is the
most important part of your article. Test the first line, make it risk-free
for your reader to visit your site, get their attention by creating a
lop-sided value proposition by giving away valuable material.

6. Will They See It? Building a network of eager publishers for your
articles will take some time. By following the steps above you will speed up
progress significantly. If you are just starting out, then use a few of the
more reputable article submission directories - they will mass blast your
article out to a refined list of directories and publishers based on
keywords and categories. Don't top there. You should constantly be seeking
out high quality, high traffic, strategic sites in your market and
contacting the publisher's directly with articles or proposals for articles.
For your top-tier prospects, be open to customizing articles, committing to
regular publishing schedules, incorporating an affiliate link in place of
your link so that your publisher gets to share in the profit from any
resulting product or service sales.

Article writing is most effective when you tap into an existing demand for
information, position your approach as unique and valuable, keep it simple
and even entertaining then making sure you get your article in front of the
right eyeballs.

One final word of advice, be consistent and persistent. You may have to
write 5 articles to have some initial success, you may have to write 20.
Fact is you will get better with each article you write and your chances of
hitting it big increase each time.

By re-using each article on blogs and in separate article landing pages you
will also continue to see advantages of generating content such as search
engine optimization and added trust from your market.

Setting Up Work From Home Businesses

Setting up a work from home business operation requires some careful thought
and preparation to ensure success. In this article we will review some of
the less traditional considerations that may apply to you for your business.

Whether you are working from home for your employer or you are working from
home and starting your own business, the topics discussed in this short
article will almost certainly apply. Many people dream of being able to work
from home for the flexibility that it provides and the decreased stress. One
of the myths that we should dispel immediately is that people working at
home work less hours.
In fact it could not be further from the truth. The reality is that the
majority of people spend more hours working from their homes simply because
the tools they need are available within a few short steps.

Having covered this basic myth, what are some of the considerations you want
to take into account regarding setting up and running a work from home
business? Your business type will dictate which issues that affect you,
however we will list as many as possible in the following paragraphs for you
to think about.

The obvious items are work space, power, communications both data and voice,
tools that you may need and space to store raw materials, finished goods as
well as your equipment that you may need. This includes of course even your
computers if you are involved in some form of online Internet business.

Additionally, you will want to ensure that you routinely back up all of your
computer data, which includes customer data as well as product designs etc.
Storing this information off site is a good idea to avoid loss due to theft
or fire. It is easy to replace damage or stolen equipment, however your data
is a totally different matter.

Many cities and towns have local bylaws that manage what type of businesses
can be operated out of your home.
Everything from parking for customers and employees, to noise management are
a consideration. If you are running an online internet business, you may not
be concerned about bylaws, however having sufficient bandwidth to handle the
data transfer rates can be a limiting factor.

Family is another consideration. Temporarily taking over the living room for
a week or two is often ok, however permanent residence of your business in
space that your family considers part of the normal living area is
eventually going to cause strife and stress for any business owner. These
considerations are just a few of the issues business owners need to consider
in addition to the more traditional items such as business plans, funding,
production and customer support.

5 Things You Must Have To Succeed In Affiliate Marketing

The idea of being mere passengers on a ship meant to sail to the farthest
points does not appeal to people who like to put their destiny into their
own hands. They have the desire of maneuvering the ships themselves, of
being able to be the ones to take it anywhere they want to. Being aboard a
ship on its way to a particularly great destination is something each and
every one of them dreams of, and the knowledge that they have the capacity
to steer it themselves is what makes them actually want to.

Perhaps this is the reason why more and more people are succumbing to one of
the most popular businesses around - affiliate marketing. It is because in
this business, there are no bosses to order the employees around. There are
no deadlines to meet and no clutter of work do to. One only needs to be
equipped with the tools needed to succeed in a business such as this, and he
is bound to get what his heart ultimately desires.

Just what are the things needed to be able to succeed in affiliate
marketing? What must one have within himself to be able to do well in this
industry? There is a lot of competition involved in affiliate marketing, and
to be able to rise above the norm, one must be equipped with just the right
stuff necessary to propel him forward. There are five things one must
ultimately possess if he wants to achieve the glory he is yearning for in
this business, and these five things are a must for him to possess to be
able to stand out among the rest.

The very first quality one must possess if he wants to try his hand in
affiliate marketing is the willingness to learn and be trained. Treading
through unfamiliar territory is scary stuff if one is not properly equipped,
and he might get lost amidst a jungle of the unknown. Learning the tricks of
the trade is also an important aspect of the game, and one's willingness to
know it all will give him far better advantages in the business than he
could ever imagine.

The second quality one must possess is the willingness to invest time and
effort even if direct results do not seem at all apparent. Although several
months may pass without good news, it is important for one who has his foot
in the industry to hold on and wait. It is this quality which would save him
from giving up after investing a lot of himself in the business.

The third quality one must possess is self-determination. If one wants to
conquer the affiliate marketing world, he must have the ability to push
himself ahead. Never having to say die is a quality each and every affiliate
marketer should possess, and the ability to motivate oneself into scaling
greater heights is an ability which would actually take an affiliate
marketer there.

The fourth quality one must possess is discipline. If one knows how to teach
himself to work everyday with all the energy he can muster, then he is close
to achieving what he has set his heart to having in the first place.

The fifth and last quality one must possess is optimism.
Negative attitudes and hearsays should not discourage an affiliate marketer
from pursuing what he has to in order to make life better for himself and
for everyone concerned.
Neither should anyone influence his attitude toward the business, because
once in it, it is a must for him to be the captain of his ship and the
master of his soul.

The ingredients to success in a business such as affiliate marketing are
diverse and manifold, but the most important thing one needs to be able to
make it big lies in himself alone. It is he who has the capacity to do
everything to be able to realize his prospects, and the desire which fuels
his heart in doing so is the gasoline which should keep the engine going.

Affiliate marketing is all about putting one's fate into his own hands. The
right attitude is the key to being able to steer one's ship into that part
of the ocean where a certain kind of serenity can be found, one that
permeates the atmosphere as the ship sails calmly on.

The Rich Jerk Review

"Get rich while you sleep." " Become a millionaire fast!"....
sound familiar? Many companies and ebooks claim you can get rich quick and
you can do this by doing very little work. Don't be fooled! Many are scams.
I have bought and researched many ebooks making these outrageous claims and
I have yet to become one of these so-called millionaires. Don't get me
wrong, there ARE legitimate money making programs out there that can and
will make you money, but there IS, and always will be, work involved.

Through my years of research my top choice for a money making opportunity
would have to be The Rich Jerk. This is one of the best eBooks I've read.
It's jam packed full of helpful information. In his book, the Rich Jerk
reveals the very same unique strategies that he uses himself. The Rich Jerk
does not beat around the bush. He's very straight forward and to the point.
He's the Howard Stern of Internet Marketing. He's in your face, rude,
obnoxious and he just doesn't care if he hurts your feellings. He's not here
to make friends; he's here to make money, and he does it very well. This guy
is the real deal and his online success has just been phenomenal.

The Rich Jerk has been on Howard Stern, has his own infomercial and has a
big following. Many people try to copy the Rich Jerk's unique style, but
he's the original rude jerk. If you don't believe me, visit his site.

Let me warn you; his site is not for people who get their feelings hurt
easily. Another friendly warning: his site contains some adult language.

If you really want to make money online I highly recommend The Rich Jerk.
This is perfect for you if you are into affiliate marketing or you are an
AdWords or other pay-per-click user.

After your purchase, The Rich Jerk provides you with excellent customer
support and access to The Rich Jerk forum which is updated daily. The Rich
Jerk also has his own blog which is always fun and interesting to read.
There is also a 60 day money back guarantee. You can't go wrong. If you're
not sure if this is for you, he will even give you a free website. What can
be better than that?

Social Bookmarking: What's The Big Deal?

Although social bookmarking might be something you've only just come across,
it has in fact been around for a few years. It's certainly getting more
popular every day, and has taken off in a big way very recently. If you're
involved in Internet marketing, it's also a great way to help generate
traffic and page rank to your site. So the sooner you learn about it, the
quicker your Internet business can benefit.

Put simply, social bookmarking is simply a way of saving your favorite URLs
online. You probably already have a "Favorites"
folder on your computer. Well, social bookmarking is just an online version
of that. The main difference is that your social bookmarking favorites are
publicly available for anyone to see.
So, the big question is - how can this benefit your business?

If you do a Google search you'll soon come up with a list of the most
popular social bookmarking websites. Take a look at http://del.icio.us,
which is one of the most popular. All you need to do, once you've joined the
social bookmarking site, is to start adding your URLs. With each URL you
also add a list of tags, or keywords, so that people know what that URL is
all about. So if you've bookmarked a site about dogs, for example, then make
sure you use the word "dogs" as one of the tags.
You can also choose whether to make the listing public or private. Use a
public listing if it's a website you want other people to find, such as your
own website. A public listing will also show other information such as who
created the bookmark, when, and give an indication of how popular that
particular keyword is on the site. But you can use the private setting for
other URLs that you know you will want to access while you're traveling
around, and don't have access to your home computer.

In some ways, then, a social bookmarking site is like a search engine,
except that it only searches entries on its database.
But the good part about that is that only sites that other people recommend
will be listed. It's easy to find a list of sites on any topic you might be
interested in. Type in dogs, for example, and you'll see sites that other
people have recommended.

For Internet marketing purposes, then, you would add your website to you
social bookmarking account, pick your main keywords and use them as tags,
and potentially generate traffic to your site. Another idea would be to have
a link to your social bookmarking account from your blog page, so that
people can see a frequently updated list of your recommended websites about
that topic. You also get a backlink from the social bookmarking site to your
website, which helps to boost your popularity in the eyes of the search
engines.

For optimal results, you should open as many accounts on different social
bookmarking sites as you can. The only problem is that posting your website
to these accounts can be come very tedious. Especially if you have a large
number of websites or if you are adding the bookmark to a large number of
accounts.

Recently a new Wordpress plugin has been released to eliminate some of this
tedious work. It can automatically add bookmarks to all of your bookmarking
accounts hands free. It is a great time saving tool that I highly recommend
to anyone who wants to take advantage of social bookmarking without spending
hours bookmarking their pages manually. Check it out here
http://www.autosocialposter.com

Social bookmarking is only in its infancy, and will probably develop in ways
that nobody has even imagined yet. In the meantime, there's no doubt it's a
great way to get traffic to your websites, so what are you waiting for?

Let RSS & Blogging Show You The Money

If you have been following all the latest developments in
Internet marketing you will have discovered a few things. Recent
trends are proving to be very lucrative for those savvy marketers
who are taking advantage of these new changes.

First, video is popping up everywhere: on websites, in sales
letters, in testimonials and in training manuals. Google
(reluctant beacon of all things net) is making its move on video
in a big way by videotizing their ads and by snatching up YouTube
for a Billion and some change.

Second, if you have placed a blog and RSS feed on your own
website, your stats will show you that blogging is an excellent
source of traffic. RSS is a simple way to get your content on the
web - including your videos and podcasts.

RSS and Blogging are propelling the social networks which are
burning up the web and video is only adding fuel to the fire.
YouTube and MySpace barely cracks the surface of the online
community building fury that's revving up the web. Social
networking fulfils our need to be connected in a very unconnected
world.

Our need to be a part of a group is universal. RSS and Blogging
are the tools that make this connection possible. We can keep in
touch and connected to the groups or subjects that interest us
the most. We feel a part of the group. We feel connected. We feel
organized. We feel important.

These social networking sites are excellent places to build
good-will and trust among its users. They are also great places
to market or pitch new products as many online marketers have
discovered.

One has to wonder just how the new RSS powered version of Windows
(Vista) will impact social networking sites like MySpace? Will it
explode the already strong interest in Blogging to make it the
dominant form of communication on the web? Will RSS become the
dominant means of connecting all the dots?

Regardless of how all this plays out, RSS and Blogging are
already an online marketer's dream come true. Web marketers are
taking full advantage of this medium within a medium, just look
at the number of marketers who have started blogs such as Neil
Shearing, John Reese... Marlon Sanders has even started his own
MySpace site!

Can you remember a recent launch of any major Internet product
within the last year or so that DIDN'T have a blog attached to
it. From Andy Jenkins & Brad Fallon's "Stomping the Search
Engines" to Brad Callen's "Keyword Elite" to Joel Comm's
"Instant Adsense Templates."

In a similar light, can you think of any major launch that did
not have video as an important feature in its marketing. Joel
Comm even used a video on YouTube to get his Google Adsense
points across.

Why is RSS and Blogging so important to these marketers? Why have
they become essential tools no online marketer can ignore? Why
are they so important?

The answer is quite simple and obvious. It all relates to
keywords. As you probably already know keywords are the exact
words or phrases surfers type into search engines to find what
they're looking for on the web. Keywords powers the web.
Keywords powers much of the online marketing on the net. All this
buying and selling are connected to keywords in one way or
another.

RSS and Blogging have an automatic keyword system built into its
operating structure. It comes preloaded with the means to take
full advantage of keywords and keyword marketing. The whole
system is run by tags or categories. These tags or categories are
recognized by the search engines as keywords.

So if you use a popular free blogging software like WordPress,
you will have a simple way to create keyword targeted content
within seconds. Targeted keyword content that can also be
syndicated around the web instantly. Build a whole blog of
related keyword content and you will have created a powerful
online marketing system.

Marketers are taking advantage of RSS and Blogging for this
reason. It is a quick and simple way of dominating a niche area
and ranking high for the popular and lucrative keywords in their
niche or industry. The advent of video has made these blogs and
feeds much more accessible to a larger audience or marketplace.

Once these marketers have gained dominance for popular keywords
in their niche, they can convert or monetize this traffic in
countless ways: selling their own products, building their lists
or using Google Adsense and affiliate links. For these savvy
online marketers it can be a very lucrative and profitable
system.

RSS and Blogging has indeed shown them the money!

A Brief Affiliate Marketing Glossary

Have you come across various terms and acronyms in your affiliate marketing
business, but not understood what many of them mean? Well here is a brief
glossary of commonly used terms that should help

CPA - CPA stands for "Cost Per Action". This usually refers to lead based
affiliate programs. In other words: Instead of having to make a sale before
you get paid, you instead only have to generate a specific action. Actions
could include getting your visitors to fill in their email address, request
a free CD, or fill out a credit card application. Once the action
requirements are fulfilled, you are paid... whether the visitor actually
buys something or qualifies for something doesn't matter. You're still paid
because you generated the desired action.

CPC/EPC - CPC stands for "Cost Per Click", and EPC is "Earnings Per Click".
You'll find the CPC version of this term used most when you're paying to
advertise something, but it's actually used in affiliate program statistics
as well. Why? Because it can help you determine how much to spend if you
decide to start advertising a given affiliate program, and it can also help
you determine if you make more with the affiliate program that you do with a
pay per click affiliate setup such as Google AdSense.

EPM/CPM - EPM is sometimes reffered to as CPM: Earnings per million and Cost
per million respectively. The "Million" part of this term is a hold over
from the more traditional offline advertising industry. In reality, this
term is referring to thousands. If for instance, an affiliate program shows
you're earning $3 EPM/CPM, that means you're earning - or paying - $3 for
every 1000 views you've had on a given ad.

Many affiliates feel this statistic isn't very useful anymore, because not
many affiliate programs pay you for the number of views generated on an
advertisement. It can be more useful than you might think though. If you
have an affiliate program that shows an EPM of $100, you can do the math to
figure out how much more traffic you'll need to generate in order to reach a
specific goal you've set.

You can also use this metric for comparing two or more affiliate products
against each other. If one pays $10 commission for instance, and another
pays $50 commission, most affiliates would want to promote the higher
commissioned product. If however, your EPM stats show that the $10
commission product makes $100 EPM, whereas the $50 product only generates
$25 EPM, you have concrete evidence that you can make much more money with
the lower paying product.

CR or C/R - This acronym stands for "conversion ratio". It tells you how
well a given affiliate product or program converts visitors into sales. If
you send 100 visitors to an affiliate product, and one of them buys, that's
a 1% conversion ratio. If however, 10 of those 100 buy something, then
you've got a 10% CR.

CTR - This stands for "Click Through Ratio". If you've generated 100,000
visitors to your website, and they've all seen the affiliate advertisement
you have there but none of them click through... you've got a zero percent
(0%) click through ratio. And that's of course bad.
Your goal as an affiliate is to get the traffic to the affiliate product so
they'll buy it. So if you're advertising something but it's not getting any
clicks - either the ad is bad, or the product you're advertising is not of
interest to your traffic.

Learn How To Value Live Auctions Items For Reselling On Ebay

So you're going to a local auction to buy some great stuff to sell on eBay?

Great!

But how do you know how much you can afford to pay for items?
At most auctions, the items you buy aren't guaranteed to work, and since
you're only buying one of whatever it is, there's a lot of work that goes
into selling each individual item. You need to be sure there's enough of a
profit margin for you to be profitable.

So what's a person to do?

Well, I've attended hundreds of auctions where my sole reason for attending
was to buy items I could sell on eBay. My specialty was in surplus equipment
- phones, networking equipment, fax machines, etc. - but I bought plenty of
items that didn't fall into such neat categories as well. I learned a lot
about how much I could actually afford to pay, and did it profitably for
several years. Now I only go to auctions for entertainment and to buy the
occasional item for personal use, so revealing the methods I used to you is
no big deal to me, but it could be a great help to you.

First, check to see if the auction has a preview. If you see an ad and it
doesn't say, call up the auctioneer and ask if there's anytime you can go to
preview the items on sale at the auction.
Most auctions have a bill of sale but I've found it's much better to be able
to actually go see the items in person. You can get a good idea for the
condition of the item and are able to note details about the items.

When you're previewing the items, make sure you have a notebook and a pen
with you. You're going to need to take a lot of notes.
Your job is to identify anything you think you could sell on eBay for more
than $20 - less than $20 and it's probably not worth your time. If you're
not sure, write it down just in case. Take specific notes of model numbers
and the condition the item appears to be in.

Once you've noted everything you think is worth more than $20, you can
return to your home. Now it's time to hop on eBay and do some research.
Start typing in the items and find out how much other sellers are getting
for their items - use the completed items search. Find what a middle of the
road price is for the item and right it down next to the item. Now you know
how much the items are worth.

If an item sells for $90, then you can afford to pay up to $80, right?

Well, if you sell on eBay for entertainment purposes, sure. If you actually
want to make some of that green stuff commonly called money, then no.

My goal was always to buy the item for 50% of what I could sell it for. Does
that seem low? Well, most auctions aren't willing to guarantee that anything
will work, and a lot of times you don't even know for sure if the item was
working last time it was used. I've bought plenty of items that looked like
they'd work and got them home only to find they were junk. So just know that
some items will not work, and you'll have to take a loss on them. Since you
want to make money, you'll find that 50% is a good number to have in mind.
Now the 50% is a guideline, not a rule, so if you find an item and want to
go higher, that's fine, just keep in mind 50% as your goal.

What if preview is immediately before auction or there's no preview
available? Well, this is where you're going to need to take advantage of
technology or a friend if you're new at this.
When you get there, find out what items the auctioneer will start with and
write down the first few items that you think would meet your requirements
and write them down on your pad.
Now either pickup the phone and call your friend who can look these items up
for you or use your phone as a modem for your laptop and look them up
yourself. If you have a web enabled phone, you can use that as well.

Now don't be disappointed if you don't get most of the stuff you want. Some
auctions, that'll happen. Other auctions, you'll get most of the items you
wanted. There are ups and downs like any business, but over time it all
evens out.

Happy Bidding.

Choosing Good Affiliate Programs

When you first start out trying to make money online with affiliate
programs, you quickly find there are thousands of programs to choose from.
And figuring out the best ones to sign up for can sometimes take a bit of
time and effort. In some cases... you may even find yourself going through a
bit of trial and error in the beginning too.

Thankfully though, there are many things you can look for before signing up
with an affiliate program, and these will help you to know whether it's a
good match for you or not.

1. What are the affiliate program's terms of service? This can be a make or
break deal, because if an affiliate program does not allow you to use Google
AdWords for marketing for instance - and this is the method you've chosen to
earn money - then signing up with them will do you no good. So read through
their terms of service first.

A word of warning here: Steer clear of any affiliate programs which do not
publically post their terms of service.

2. What are their payment specifics? This is important as well, because you
need to know both how much money you can earn, plus how often that money
will come in. If an affiliate program pays 10% of all sales, that means when
you sell something worth $100, you'll get $10 in commissions. This isn't bad
if the product is good and the market is large enough, but if the affiliate
program only pays you when you've earned $1000 in commissions, you'll need
to make a lot of sales before you'll see any of that money in your own bank
account.

If on the other hand, the affiliate program only sends your earnings to you
every three months, it won't matter if you've generated $1000 every day in
commissions... you're still going to wait quite a long time before you can
actually spend the money you've earned.

3. What does their website look like? This doesn't always occur to affiliate
marketers, but the way your affiliate program's website looks plays a very
big part in how well you can earn money promoting their products or
services.

If you visit the merchant website and see Google Adsense ads all over it for
instance, you'd probably be better off not promoting that program. Why?
Because you could send 1000 visitors to the site, and have 500 of them click
on the merchant's Adsense ads instead of buying. That earns money for the
merchant but it does NOT earn money for you.

Affiliates usually only earn money if a product is directly sold. So you
don't want to promote a page or site that has other earning streams in place
for the advertiser, that you as the affiliate would not earn anything from.

A similar problem is when the merchant website has their own affiliate links
to other merchants. You are sending your traffic to them, expecting to make
sales that will earn you money through thier affiliate program. If they in
fact are promoting other merchants as an affiliate themselves, then your
traffic could end up clicking one of their affiliate links to another
merchant. Again this would earn them money but not you.

So there are three starter tips to helping you choose good affiliate
programs. I'll have more articles covering this topic for you in the near
future.

Sell Your Knowledge Turning Your Hobby Into Profits

Everyone has a hobby of some kind - most people have several. There are
people who collect stamps; people who make scrapbooks or create graphic
designs with their digital photos; people who love horseback riding, hiking
or bicycling.

Maybe you do something that you don't even know is considered a "hobby".
Technically, anything that you engage in for fun that is outside of your
occupational activities is considered a hobby- so chances are you have lots
of hobbies.

Have you ever considered turning one of your hobbies into a
business? You may be surprised at how virtually any hobby
can be converted to profits, and without tremendous overhead or ridiculously
high start up costs.

What's even better, you aren't required to have a specific product to sell!
In fact, you can make your knowledge your product to sell.

If you participate regularly in some sort of hobby, you are bound to know
quite a bit about it. If you make scrapbooks of your family and friends,
then you probably have extensive knowledge about where to get the best deals
on your scrapbooking supplies, and how to create special effects on your
photo album pages.

Maybe you have magazines and websites that you refer to all the time for
inspiration. You have the personal knowledge of what it took to get started
in the hobby. For example, scrapbooking requires that you have access to
supplies like paper, stickers, glue, photo albums and scrapbooking tools.

Someone who has just learned about scrapbooking and thinks they want to
start the hobby will need to figure out what they need to get started. You
could offer this knowledge as your product to sell. Think people won't buy
it? Think again.

If you've ever used a search engine to look up information, you know that
it's time consuming to sort through all the data to find exactly what you're
looking for. Often, you're given tons of information that doesn't seem all
that reliable, and you have to determine what you can use and what you need
to avoid.

When you make your personal knowledge of a hobby your product to sell-
you're helping everyone who wants to find that information without spending
hours searching for it.

You do not need to have a physical product to sell in order to make a
profit. In fact, having an inventory or having to create physical items
from materials offers a lower profit margin than selling information.

Information products are among the top items to sell for a variety of
reasons. They offer a low cost to get started, meaning you start earning a
profit after just a couple sales. Informational products include eBooks,
online courses or email courses, software, audio files, web sites- basically
anything that can be downloaded from the internet.

You aren't required to have an inventory and you can set up your business
model to allow you to earn money by the work other people do for you.

So now, maybe you're thinking that this is all well and
good- but you still don't have a product to sell! You haven't written an
eBook, and maybe your writing skills leave little to be desired. Creating
online or email courses are time consuming, and to create software you need
special training. You can still sell your knowledge.
Create a "package" of items that someone would need in order to get started
in a particular hobby, and promote it as the "everything you need to know"
about starting the hobby.

Contact someone who has written an informative eBook on the topic; find
someone else who has made an online video or radio show regarding it, and
request permission to sell the items in your package. If they have
affiliate programs, you can probably sign up for the affiliate programs and
earn commission that way. Include your list of great providers for supplies
or information that you refer to regularly, and anything else you know a
person needs in order to get started in the hobby. This is a product to
sell: selling your knowledge.

Once you've earned money from this type of information product business, you
can invest in the creation of your own products if you want, or start
offering more informational products that allow you to sell your knowledge.

7 Simple And Effective Strategies Of Forum Posting Part 1

7 Simple And Effective Strategies Of Forum Posting Part 1 There are
advantages and disadvantages of forum posting.
The advantage is that if done correctly, you can get targeted traffic to
your website. If done wrong, you will waste precious time chatting and
getting zero result when you can be building your business.

If you want to maximize your results with forum posting, here are some rules
you need to take into consideration to make forum marketing the most
profitable for you.

1. Find a forum with high traffic.

Obviously you do NOT want to post in forums with very low traffic. If you
do, your exposure isn't great. You need to find a forum that has millions
of page views per month.
You can easily check that out by going to www.alexa.com and finding out the
traffic details.

This increases the odds of you exposing yourself to the right people.
However, there is a big exception. Make sure the forum you are posting to
are moderated, otherwise it will probably be filled with SPAM, which is
going to be a total waste of time for you.

2. Let people know who you are.

The internet is cold and anonymous enough. Forums are like a community and
letting people know who you really are makes the forum seem more personal
and less cold. If you are trying to build business relationships, don't you
want to gain the trust (and business) of your potential customers?

Instead of using some cute name like "StudMuffin629" it's better to use your
own name and even posting your photo or logo if it is allowed. This is a
great way to start branding you and your brand.

Besides, posting your photo has been proven to increase responsiveness to
your posts. In the cold anonymous world of the internet, they make you seem
more real to others who read your post and that allows them to have more of
a connection.

You allow them to feel that they talking to a real person.
And remember, relationships are extremely important to your internet
marketing success.

3. Post a signature file and include a link to your site.

This is a no brainer. This is free advertisement that you are allowed when
you make a contribution to the forums.
This allows other viewers of the forum to know how to get into contact with
you.

Don't be shy with it, some strange people think that having a signature link
is unethical. There is nothing wrong with it. Think about it this way,
when someone gave an insightful answer for you, don't you want to know how
to contact this person?

Besides, most people in forums are there to network and in business anyway
so why not take advantage of it? In my view you are doing a disservice to
those who want to know more about you if you don't post a signature file.

These are just three of the seven strategies you should implement for your
forum marketing. The last four are going to be continued in the sequel to
this. Maximize your forum marketing productivity and use some of the
strategies I've presented here if you haven't already.

Website Startup Guide - Mix And Match Your Advertising Offerings

There are literally thousands of people out there right now who want to
start their own online business. The problem is where to begin and how to
get started.

Oh sure, they know they can buy a domain and a web hosting account, but that
is not the problem. The hold up is that they don't know what to sell on
their websites that will allow them to make a nice income to supplement the
income from their regular jobs.

Day and night, people browse this World Wide Web looking for a hint or an
insight that will point them in the direction of the next big thing on the
internet.

Let's be honest. Most people who want to start an online business are only
looking for enough extra income to pay an extra car payment or to buy some
clothes for their kids. Not everyone is looking to get rich online.

Looking For Something To Sell

Most people online who are looking for an opportunity to make money look
first to common themes of products they already buy.

If you go to Google and type in "flowers" for your search, you will find 339
million pages found. If you take the same search to Yahoo, you will still
find 202 million results. With that kind of competition, why would anyone
want to try to break into that industry as an online entrepreneur?

Suppose the next thought takes the aspiring entrepreneur to "jewelry"? A
Google search will turn up 551 million to Yahoo's
261 million pages. Again, why would someone try to tackle such an
overcrowded marketplace?

On top of that, as part-time entrepreneurs looking for some extra money,
they don't have the time or resources to try to knock heads with these major
corporations who run the competing websites in these markets.

Add to that the need to handle actual products and product fulfillment, and
your part-time start-up entrepreneur really starts to lose interest. People
tend to shy away from product fulfillment related industries. Their homes
are already crowded enough without adding retail products to their space.

Something To Sell That Does Not Require A Warehouse or a Huge Investment

It is at about this time the opportunity search changes gears.
There are many forks in the road, and the road you choose can be as hard or
as easy as you make it for yourself.

Where to go from here:

1.Digital products - E-books and Software 2.Product Drop-Shipping
3.Affiliate programs 4.On-site Advertising

Let's look at each one of these individually:

Digital Products - E-Books and Software

We all have some kind of knowledge to share. If you determine that you have
some kind of knowledge that you can share, then there is likely someone out
there in the world who would be willing to pay you to obtain that same
knowledge.

E-books are an ideal way to disseminate this information. With the e-book
format, there are no printing costs, since your book is stored as a digital
file. Self-publishing a digital ebook is not nearly as hard as you might
think it would be.

Software is a similar beast. Since it is a digital product, you don't have
to cover the costs of packaging and distribution. You can sell your software
online, cutting out the middleman, keeping the extra profits for yourself.

Product Drop-Shipping

Some wholesale companies will allow you to buy products from them on a
piecemeal basis. Of course, the cost is a bit higher than what it would be
if you bought products a pallet at a time, but the convenience to you more
than makes up for the additional cost.

The "drop-shippers" allow you to sell a product to your customers, and then
you can take the money you collected from your customer to the drop-shipper.
The drop-shipper will ship the product directly to your customer.

In some cases, the drop shipper will even put your own custom label on the
outside of the container, making the fact that you used a drop-shipper
completely unseen by your customer.

To find wholesale companies who offer drop-shipping services, check these
folks out: http://www.vasrue.com/dt/t.php?id=167

Affiliate programs

With an Affiliate program, you can register with a seller, and the seller
will give you a unique URL that you can use to promote their products or
services. When someone uses "your affiliate URL" to visit the seller's
website, the seller will track that person until the visitor leaves the
site. (Some Affiliate sellers will drop a cookie on the computer of the
visitor, and if that person returns to the seller's website within one year,
then you will get credit for that visitor returning to the seller's
website.) If the visitor buys a product or service from the seller, then
your account will be credited for bringing a buyer to the website. This will
result in your earning a commission for bringing the buyer and seller
together.

On-Site Advertising

Both Google and Yahoo's Overture services offer an option to webmasters to
carry their advertising on your website. When someone clicks a link on your
website and visits the advertiser's website, then you would get paid a small
payment for having connected the potential buyer to the seller's website.

This is a type of advertising that pays you when someone visits the seller's
website. Contrast that with the Affiliate program, which pays you when
someone buys a product from the seller's website, and then you can see the
fine line difference between the two types of advertising.

How Much Can You Make Utilizing On-Site Advertising?

Truth be told, there are a lot of people on the internet who makes tens and
hundreds of thousands of dollars per month --- yes, I said, "per month" ---
using only Google's on-site advertising program, called Adsense. The rest of
us make hundreds or thousands per month.

The truth is that with Google's contextual advertising program called
Adsense, your income is based on what the advertisers are willing to pay for
your traffic and how much traffic you can generate.

The Profit-and-Loss Factor for the Advertiser

It is a matter of profit-and-loss for the advertiser. If the advertiser pays
one dollar for a visitor, and every 35th visitor buys what the advertiser is
selling, then the advertiser is getting one buyer for every $35 spent. If
the advertiser's profit margin is enough to afford spending $35 to acquire
one customer, then the advertiser will feel his advertising is worthwhile,
and he will keep on coming back for more advertising.

If on the other hand, the advertiser is only earning a gross profit of $20
per transaction, then he or she will have a hard time justifying the $35
advertising expenditure.

This is why you will find that most Google and Yahoo advertisers are only
willing to spend 25 or 50 cents to get one visitor to their website.

And then depending on a number of factors, you will only earn 30-50% of the
gross revenue that Google or Yahoo earned for that visitor.

Taking the lowest case denominator approach, 30% of 25 cents is roughly
eight cents that you will be paid for each visitor that you send to an
advertiser.

Some of these guys who are knocking down ten thousand dollars a month are
actually doing so at eight cents per click! What is their secret to success?
They are getting thousands of people to visit their website everyday.

The Profit-and-Loss Factor for the Affiliate Seller

On the flip side, let us take a look at the same scenario for the Affiliate
seller. Instead of paying for visitors, advertisers are paying for actual
sales.

The Affiliate seller knows his or her margin well enough to know that they
can afford to pay anywhere from 2-50% of the actual transaction amount to
the person who referred the buyer to their website.

The Affiliate seller is not paying for advertising on a gamble, instead,
they are paying for advertising on a sure thing.

It is not unheard of to earn $20, $50 or $200 on a single Affiliate sale
transaction.

If you are able to convert one person in thirty-five to buyers of an
affiliate product or service, you could conceivably make more money with
less traffic, than the guys knocking down the big bucks with Adsense.

Mix-and-Match For The Greatest Success

This is really important to your bottom line. If you fail to heed my advice,
your website may fail to survive.

Unless you are the owner of a product or service sales website, then you
will be relying on the various advertising opportunities to survive.

You are best to mix-and-match your offers for the greatest success. Yes, do
set up Google Adsense on your site, but also set up Affiliate programs on
your site.

You may sell a few products each week, and the sale from those products
might make a good income for you. But, for the people who arrived on your
site who are not interested in your main offering, give them another
advertisement to click on before they leave. This way, you can get the
Pay-Per-Click advertising revenue from those people who chose not to buy the
products and services that you are selling through the Affiliate programs.

Diversification Is Your Key To Success

Don't let yourself be fooled by the idea that you can be profitable with
only one product or service offering or advertising revenue generator. Many
people have entered this medium with a Made For Adsense (MFA) site, and many
of those people have gone out of business in just a few months.

Don't put all of your eggs in one basket. Or else, when you fall, you will
have nothing to show for all of your hard work.
