Master Resell Rights vs. Private Label Rights

Master resell rights, private label rights, resell rights... If you don't
know what each term means, you can certainly find yourself confused by all
the hype. In this article, I'm going to explain the different types of
resell rights that you can purchase and talk about how you can make money
with them.

There are three basic types of resell rights - Master Resell Rights, Resell
Rights and Private Label rights. The biggest difference is that Master
Resell rights holders can pass on Master Resell Rights to buyers where as
Resell rights simply allow you to sell the product to an end user.

If it's flexibility you seek, Private Label Rights allow you to customize
the product and typically come with source files for you to edit. Most PLR
packages also let you attach your name to the product as the creator.
Private label rights is the closest thing to having your own product and
lately there have been many excellent packages of PLR products for rather
cheap.

All three types of rights allow you to sell a product and keep 100% of the
profit. Savvy affiliates and internet marketers have been quick to praise
Resell Right products as a fast way to produce a product that you have
complete control over.
Unlike selling affiliate products, you must process your own orders and
handle your own customer service. Still, many former affiliates are finding
that the extra work is nothing considering the benefit of additional profit
margin.

So, what types of Resell Right products are available? Well, almost any kind
you could think of on topics from marketing to puppy training. You will find
a wide selection of niche eBooks available with various rights as well as
software and even graphics. Typically, packages come complete with sales
letters and graphics, making set up a breeze.

There are two basic ways to purchase Resell rights. The most cost effective
way is to purchase a package bundle. You can often pick up dozens of
products at once for under $40. Your other option is to join a resell rights
club. There are several good services out there that provide brand new
products for you to sell on a Monthly basis.

However you choose to source your products, resell rights are a great way to
start your own info product and software empire.
Never before has it been so easy for anyone to start selling their "own"
products online.

Smart Webmasters are Wasting Online Real Estate

Many webmasters are not using their websites' traffic to
full potential. The Web is full of wasted advertising space.
Chances are that even your website has some virtual wasteland.
These are areas that often go unnoticed by even the most
experienced marketers, resulting in the loss of thousands of
dollars of potential revenue.

Below, four of the most underused online real estate spots are
discussed as well as how you can reclaim these areas while
maximizing your profits.

1. 404 Error Pages

The dreaded 404 page is something that almost everyone has
encountered in their online journeys. The most common reasons
for landing on a 404 page include:

* a mis-typed URL
* an out-of-date bookmark
* a search engine link that is out-of-date
* an internal broken link that the webmaster hasn't noticed

Surveys suggest that approximately 40% of users who run into a
404 Page Not Found error will leave your site, never to return.

However, as a webmaster, these pages should be customized in
order to help the user find their way back to your website. To
create your own customized 404 page, keep the following
guidelines in mind.

* Provide an explanation of what went wrong. A nice way to
apologize would be to offer them a free report. By using
this technique, your visitors will not only be impressed
by your creativity, but you can also collect their name
and email adress at the same time.

* Provide a link to the site map. By redirecting them to your
sitemap, they should be able to quickly and easily find what
they are looking for.

* Provide a search box for users to target in on exactly what
they originally came for.

* Use minimal navigation. This is not the place to put your
entire site navigation. You simply want to pull them back into
your website so that you are not losing any of your potential
customers.

Some Good Examples of 404 error pages can be found at:

* http://www.fool.com/error

2. Exit Strategies

Did you know that on average only 1 - 2% of your visitors will
actually buy your product. This means that approximately 98% of
your visitors are leaving your website without buying. Most of
them will never return.

Fortunately, there is a way to tweak your website in order to
take advantage of this lost traffic.

You can salvage much of this traffic through the use of exit
pop-ups. Now, you may feel that these are outdated and annoying,
but testing has shown that they work.

So, the next time that your visitor clicks on the back button,
present them with a pop-up that will offer them a free report.
By implementing this technique, you will be able to capture
the name and email of many of your website visitors, allowing
you to contact them in the future with additional information
and product offers.

You can also use an exit pop-up to survey your visitors. Find
out exactly why they didn't buy or what type of information
would have made them more interested. This priceless information
can help you to improve your marketing techniques and increase
your conversion rate.

3. Thank You Pages

Did you know that the "Thank You" page (the page you display
after someone subscribes to your newsletter or buys your
product) is one of the most responsive pages on your website?

The Thank You page provides a prime opportunity for promoting
some of your other products and/or services.

You can use this space to easily increase your online profits.
For example, why not use the following message on your thank
you page after someone has subscribed to your newsletter.

"Thank you for subscribing to my newsletter. Remember to
check your inbox for your first issue.

In the meantime, I would like to introduce you to a product that
I highly recommend for increasing your website traffic at ...."

This is an easy way to send traffic to an affiliate link so you
can earn some additional revenue from what is often unused
advertising space.

You can use this same technique for your order form confirmation
pages. Thank the customer for their order and recommend they
check out a related product. You could also offer an upsell to
a higher-end version of the same product. Don't take this space
for granted. Order confirmation pages are some of the most
highly responsive real estate on your site because the customer
already has their credit card in hand.

Another great technique is exchanging thank-you pages with
other web sites.

For example, if you have a website about fitness and you know
of another website that caters to a similar audience, you can
partner up and exchange advertising. To do this, you would
promote the other person's service or product on your own thank
you page. By partnering together, you can both attract many more
clients and/or additional sales.

4. Email Messages

If you are not regularly sending out an email newsletter, then
you are failing to capitalize on existing traffic. Delivering
your own ezine allows you to make additional profit from the
traffic you are already receiving. Simply place an opt-in box on
your website and start collecting the names and addresses of
your website visitors.

Of course, you will also need to offer them some valuable info
in exchange for their name and email. A free report often works
extremely well for this.

However, starting your own newsletter is just the beginning. You
must also use this priceless space to optimize your revenue
streams.

To produce additional profit from your email campaigns, simply
place a small text box in each of your outgoing emails promoting
one of your products or an affiliate product.

This is very similar to advertising, except you are placing your
own internal ads instead of advertising for others. This is an
extremely simple technique that many people miss out on. This
one change can instantly produce additional sales, increased
affiliate commissions, and more opt-ins for other lists you
want to promote.

A small ad can be placed in a number of spots, including:

Order Confirmation Emails: Anytime someone orders from you, they
should be receiving an email receipt to confirm their purchase.
This is also the perfect time to promote a related product or
service. People are much more likely to order when they are in
the buying mood and already have their credit card out. This is
why upsells and thank you page offers are so powerful.

"Thank you" emails: Whenever you send out a confirmation email to
people who subscribe to your ezine, you should also be including
some sort of promotion or ad within the email.

This is also the perfect time to offer them some "recommended
reading" (i.e. affiliate links) If they have subscribed to your
ezine, then they are obviously looking for additional information
about a particular topic, so why not offer them some additional
resources to help them in their quest for knowledge. These
recommendations can be ebooks, membership sites, or even another
newsletter that you operate.

Remember, your prospects are looking for products to fill their
needs. If they don't buy from you they will simply buy from
someone else.

Unsubscribe emails: Do you send an email to confirm that someone
has been unsubscribed after their request? If not, you should.
This is a great opportunity to make one last offer. Or, if you
simply want to find out more about your departing subscribers,
you could set up a survey to find out why they unsubscribed and
how you can make the newsletter better.

Take a close look at your own web site and marketing process
and start finding places that are not optimized to their fullest
potential. Almost every website online has wasted space that
could be optimized for promoting additional products.

Take action now so that your space no longer goes to waste.

The Top 7 Article Marketing Mistakes Solo Entrepreneurs Make (and how to avoid them)

Offering "free-reprint" articles to targeted audiences is one
of the most effective and low-cost methods to become a recognized
expert on the internet, establish credibility and generate
long-term targeted traffic to your website. Well-written,
informational articles are always in great demand by thousands of
publishers and editors of websites, newsgroups, blogs and e-zines
who rely heavily on providing innovative and fresh content to
their readership and to attract search engines and site
visitors.

Unfortunately, many solo entrepreneurs who market their services
with articles are making serious mistakes that result in their
articles not being published and not getting targeted prospects
to their website. There are 4 factors that determine the success
of any article:

* the preparation you do before you write an article
* the content of your article
* the format of your article ("article mechanics")
* how you optimize and distribute your article

Let's take a look at what the most common article marketing
mistakes are and how you can avoid them.

Article Marketing Mistake #1 - Not Being Clear on the Reason to
Write Articles

The primary reason to write an article is to inform your
audience. If your article is not written with this purpose in
mind, few people will want to read your article and you will fail
to see all the benefits of promoting your article. Generating
links by submitting your article to hundreds of sites will help
to boost your search engine ranking but if you'd like to get
people to read what is in your article, and then click through to
your site, the solution is to produce better content.

Article Marketing Mistake #2 - Failure to Plan for Your Audience

Who are you writing for? You want only the people who are
interested in reading your article and in the services you have
to offer. You're not writing for every person browsing on the
internet. Ask yourself these basic questions about your target
audience:

* What kind of information are they searching for when they go
online?
* Do they have any problems related to what you have to offer?
* What is their occupation, sex, age, etc.?

Then strategically choose the title, keywords of your article
(more about this in Mistake #7). Did you know that the title
determines as much as 95% of the success of your article in terms
of how much traffic your article will generate back to your
website? In fact, the first 3-5 words of your title are the most
important. Then begin planning the content to make sure your
article provides useful information or addresses a problem with a
solution.

Article Marketing Mistake # 3 - Publishing Content That
Publishers Don't Want

If you want article marketing to work for you, write articles
that publishers would want to publish. They will not publish your
article unless it contains quality content that will give their
readers value. You will also have to adhere to publication rules
in order to have your article approved and listed. Rules include
the use of self-serving links, unique content, the use of HTML,
article length (aim for 700 to 1000 words), keyword anchor text,
resource boxes and affiliate links.

Article Marketing Mistake # 4 - Not Writing with Personality

In delivering your information, make it engaging and
entertaining. Use your sense of humor if you have it. Put a
little of your personality into your writing so that readers will
feel a connection with you. When making a buying decision for
professional services, the number one factor prospects consider
is how much they know, like and trust you.

Article Marketing Mistake # 5- Too Much Sales Hype

Article marketing isn't about selling - it's about pre-selling.
No one will publish an article that reads like a sales letter.
You get to promote yourself in your Resource Box at the end of
the article where you include your name, brief professional
information, your unique selling proposition (USP) and a call to
action with links to your website.

Article Marketing Mistake # 6 - Failing to Maximize the
Promotional Opportunities of Article Marketing

In order to maximize the benefits of article marketing, it makes
good business sense to optimize your articles so the search
engines can list the website associated with your article on the
search engine results pages. You will get free and targeted
traffic from these listings! Include keywords in the title and
content of your article and create metatags for your article
pages. You can also include anchor text links in your resource
box (the words you click on when you click a link).

Please note: there are best practices concerning these techniques
so I recommend that you consult a professional to help you.

Article Marketing Mistake # 7 - Not Distributing Their Articles
for Maximum Exposure

Many solo entrepreneurs don't know the top sites to target for
maximum exposure. They often end up submitting their articles to
over-hyped and under-maintained sites. Moreover, article
submission is very time consuming and tedious so they do a few
submissions but not enough volume to give them the exposure on
the internet they need.

So my recommendation is don't just start writing. Plan ahead and
write strategically to increase your article marketing success.
The choice is yours - you can get a little exposure from
increased link backs, or for a little extra work, enjoy massive
exposure. If you have passion for a subject and can explain
things like you would to a friend over a cup of coffee, you can
write articles people will want to read. Just do a bit of
planning first.

To write or not to write? That isn't the question. The
questions that you must be able to answer are: What's in it for
the reader? What's in it for the publisher? Does my article
provide value? Savvy solo entrepreneurs generate thousands of
dollars from Article Marketing each year. So can you!

Gary Albert: An Account of a Renowned Copywriter

In the line of copywriting industry, only a few can be considered
to have effective hands. Not all can write as compelling as those
who have mastered the art because of natural talent and through
experience.

People who have unparalleled skills in web copywriting may be
referred to as the main pillars of Internet businesses. With
their ability to manipulate words, they can direct people, alter
traditions, and influence in the transformation of the society.

Internet copywriters are one of the highest-paid professionals in
the land. It's because they play a very essential role in the
promotion of Web industry.

Being utterly distinct from offline copywriting, web copywriting
has molded its own customs. It evolves in a different language
and tone. For this reason, only few individuals successfully make
their names in the field of web copywriting.

One of these people is Gary Halbert. He is an expert marketer and
a remarkable copywriter. Being a genius in his field, he has made
hundreds of unbeaten sales letters. Also, he is a respected
figure in direct marketing. He gets paid with a large amount of
dollars just to speak in seminars, conferences and other public
appearances.

It was in the 1980's when he started with the "Gary Halbert
Letter", in which he asked from his readers for a little charge.
But still, his readers did not mind it; they were still willing
to pay a little amount so they can read his works. Halbert
discusses various topics which he uniquely links to his
business.

Gary Halbert has a unique writing style. His discussions cover a
variety of useful facts. For that, his audience has a lot to
learn from him. However, Halbert is noted for some of his old
fashioned preferences. An example is his belief that his
customers should reach him over the phone when placing an order.
He does not recommend over-the-internet purchases. He could have
been rational if the Internet is still something new to the
public. But in our society, the Internet is already very
prevalent because of the convenience that entails with it. Even
surveys reveal that more people prefer online buying over other
methods available.

There are sources, however, that point Gary as "borderline
illegal". It was said that Gary abused his overpowering skills in
writing to take advantage of his readers. In the 1980's, sources
report that Gary began selling info products which he failed to
literally deliver to his customers. He never brought the products
out but he kept the cash.

When the police came to arrest him at his house, where his
operations are mainly based, Gary reasoned out that the orders
were all stolen and that he cannot give away refunds.

When he was set off from jail, he was asked by Jay Abraham to
speak for him. Abraham knew that Gary couldn't refuse because he
needed the cash. With their set-up, Abraham gained a solid
reputation.

Gary did not regain his former status of being greatly admired;
but some people claim that it was because Gary himself did not
want to.

The story of this renowned copyrighter did not end there. He is
distributing free copies of his most compelling newsletters with
no charge. There is no need to register to anything - all is
absolutely free. You can log on to his website and check them all
out.

You Will Never Succeed At Internet Marketing

During a recent trip to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, I participated in
11 different media interviews over a 3-day period. In all of
these interviews, we examined the topic of what it takes to
really build a massively successful online business.

What really surprised me was that my answer in ALL of the
interviews was the same, and also incredibly simply. Each of the
interviews pointed to only two major factors. Without these
factors, most people will not succeed at building a large,
profitable Internet marketing business.

What two factors are so essential that - without them - I can
look you straight in the eyes and say, "You will never succeed
at Internet Marketing?" The first factor is that you must market
a product that people WANT! Since my very first month online,
this has been rather obvious to me, although I didn't always
take the appropriate action on this knowledge.

Nine years ago I often marketed affiliate products in the wrong
way. I did it the way that all of my contemporaries were also
doing it. We were all, mostly doing it wrong, and that's why
95% of them failed and went back to jobs that they hated.

The way we marketed affiliate products was by selecting products
that "sounded good to us" - and then taking the provided
promotional material and using it in the places suggested to us.

One problem with the above formula was that we often chose old,
worn-out products that no one wanted. We tried to sell the
market what we believed they needed rather than what they told us
they wanted.

A second problem with the above formula is that we all ran the
same ads in the same places. You often had ezines running a dozen
ads for the same product. You often had dozens of marketers using
the exact same word-for-word solo mailings.

How INSANE is that?

What's shocking - is that nine YEARS later, many marketers are
still making the same mistakes, with the same business-killing
results. Many affiliate marketers are still taking the material
provided by affiliate programs, and using it without making any
changes.

If you don't believe me, just look in your inbox during any
major product launch. You'll see dozens of emails that read
exactly the same, except they will have different affiliate URLs
in them. If you subscribe to certain ezines that run lots of
paid ads, you can also see that these ezines often STILL run
numerous ads for the SAME product. Don't fall into that deadly
trap!

Offer the products that your market wants, and offer it to them
using promotional materials that use your own voice. It's "ok"
to use the provided affiliate materials as a starting point.

It's not ok to use the same ads as dozens... even hundreds of
others, and use them word for word. That only insults your
readers, and also dooms you to failure. Just taking a few minutes
to put your message, to your audience, in your own words, really
separates you from those too lazy to make that simple effort. The
second major problem identified in all of the interviews is the
inability to make a decision.

Most Internet marketers destine themselves to total failure, or
"massive mediocrity," by their inability to make a decision and
stick with it. You must examine your options, consider the
alternatives, make a decision, and then ACT upon that decision.

There's an old joke asking about three frogs sitting on a log.
If one of them decides to jump off, how many frogs are left
sitting on the log? The answer is three. Until the one actually
acts upon his decision, nothing has changed!

The reason many people can't make a decision is that they fear
making the wrong decision. A second, related reason that many
people can't make a decision is "fear of loss." People fear
that once they make a decision, if it's "the wrong decision,"
then they will lose what they would have had by making "the
right decision."

The reality is that there is no wrong decision, except for not
making any decision. Actually, deciding to do nothing is making a
decision. It's deciding to be in the same place tomorrow as you
are today. It's deciding to be in the same place a year from now
that you are in today.

Making a decision simply means being "mature enough" to make a
choice, and then acknowledging that it may not always be the best
choice, but that it puts LIGHT YEARS ahead of someone who makes
no decision (someone who chooses to do nothing).

You can't worry about what you will miss if you decide on one
path instead of an alternative path. When you do, if you allow
that worry to paralyze you, you choose no path, and that dooms
you to failure!

My observations have actually been validated dozens of times over
the past week. I've listened to recorded interviews of several
dozen top online marketers. These were interviews that I
personally conducted when I asked these top marketers the secret
to breaking into "the Internet marketing inner circle." I was
listening for commonalties in their answers. One of those
commonalties was the ability to make a decision and then ACT upon
that decision.

If you'd like to listen to those interviews, you can become a
part of that inner circle at this membership site:
http://TheInternetMarketingInnerCircle.com

My observations were also validated as I analyzed the case-
studies of many ordinary people who had actually built successful
online businesses. The most recent such case-study is that of
Louis Burleson.

Louis (and his wife) gave him a budget of $50 per month to build
an online business when he first started. Louis LOST $50 per
month because that was the maximum amount of his business budget.
Had it been higher, he would probably have lost more.

Louis now has a five-figure monthly income. I would be surprise
if he did NOT have a high, six-figure annual income soon. Louis
did this simply by analyzing the circumstances that he was in,
analyzing the assets that he had, and then deciding to finally
move forward.

Louis did something very important, and to me, something very
inspirational. He build a duplicable marketing system that he
documented, and then set up and used to market numerous different
products. He wrote down everything that he did, and made it
available to other struggling Internet marketers, complete with
the customized software that he uses to make his system work
EVERY TIME. You can (and should) check out Louis' system at:
http://NoHypeInternetMarketing.com/TheKey/

On my third reading of Louis' report, detailing what he'd done,
I hi-lited the passage that hit me the hardest. It reads:

"It's almost funny how you can just plod along doing
essentially the same thing you've done for years and never
realize how much knowledge you've actually amassed.

For years I struggled at internet marketing but I didn't know
how much I knew (and how much I really wasn't applying to my
business)."

To me those two paragraph from one case-study validated and
summarized the problem. It summarized why many will never
succeed at Internet marketing. It also points out the solution.

Take a few minutes now and make the decision that you will
FINALLY make a choice. Then make that choice and act upon it.
It's that simple. So many people are THAT close to success.
Sadly, so many will simply never step across the line. Will
you?

What Does A Ghost Writer Do

It's important to keep in mind, that not all ghost writers are skilled in
all kinds of writing. Many times, ghost writers earn a quite a nice salary
do something they love, which is writing.
Ghost writers are more common than you think. Of course, not all people who
use ghost writers are going to create books.
Ghost writers are no new phenomenon. Ghost writers are drawn from those vast
majority writers who do not have big book contracts of their own. In many
countries, academic thesis ghost writers are a major industry, providing a
nice income for students writing for senior executives. Anyway, ghost
writers are also sometimes useful but what is surprising in this case is why
so much of prominence was given to his "point of view".

What Kinds of People Hire Ghost Writers? Many people hire ghost writers,
from owners of businesses, college students and the average joe in the
street. They may have fantastic stories to tell, but they don't have the
enormous amount of financial capital available to hire any such expensive
ghost writers. I'm sure you already know by now that many big companies
obviously hire ghost writers to do the job of their website. You can hire
ghost writers on an hourly basis or for a flat fee, depending on the scope
of the project. There are many places where you can find ghost writer,
Elance is a great resource and so is Rent A Coder. Just hire some ghost
writers to do the work of writing for you. One thing to keep in mind is that
you don't know who writes the material you see, many people hire ghost
writers and all the time. Another alternative is to hire ghost writers to
produce content specifically for you.

Legitimate book doctors, freelance editors, ghost writers and other
professionals exist in publishing. You can also use freelance writers as
ghost writers. You don't have to write full-time to be a freelance writer,
and most don't.
Ghostwriters exist in every genre to help with polishing a book, article,
speech or writing a corporate publication. You can easily find writers that
will write good articles for you by doing a search for freelance writers or
ghost writers on the internet. The internet is a great place to outsource
your online writing workload.

It's often hard to tell what ghost writer is going to be good or not. Look
at some of the jobs the ghostwriter has done to get a feel of what his/her
writing style is like. The best ghost writers are wanted to work for super
affiliates to help them sustain there businesses. Ghostwriters are very
important to businesses; they help without being an employee or needed to
pay for benefits. If you are looking for a ghostwriter make sure you check
their credentials to be sure they will do the work for you that are needed.

Making Money In The Net: The 3 Features You Should Look For In An Affiliate Marketing Program

If your affiliate marketing program isn't generating as much cash as you
expected, you may be either doing it wrong or you don't have the right
affiliate marketing program. You should look for the best affiliate program
that will make you earn a substantial amount of income. It is a fact that
many people who have chosen the best affiliate marketing program have earned
a lot of money that they even considered to leave their regular jobs and
fully concentrate on the affiliate marketing program business.

You may think that the best affiliate program is not easy to come by and
that they can cost too much, but the best affiliate program is not really
what it seems. You will find that the best affiliate marketing program is
widely available in the Internet and can only cost you a small amount of
money and some are even free.

Many people don't really see that a particular affiliate marketing program
is the best even if they always cross paths with it on the Internet. So, in
order to recognize that an affiliate marketing program is the best kind, you
should know how to look for one.

There are three features that you should look for in an affiliate marketing
program in order to know that it's the best kind and will generate a good
amount of income for you.

The first feature you should look for in an affiliate marketing program is
that it should be easy to duplicate. Choosing an affiliate program shouldn't
just be easy to implement and get results in terms of income, it should also
be easy for you and others to duplicate. Obviously, the reason for this is
that you can duplicate your success and with this, you can duplicate your
income.

The second feature that you should look for in an affiliate program is it
should have tasks that have to be repeated everyday. This feature is a sign
that the affiliate marketing program is one of the best and is an income
earning potential.
With tasks that have to be repeated daily, you can expect that this program
will get you the best results from any marketing program.

The third feature that an affiliate marketing program will have is it will
take in a lot of people who will otherwise not even give it a second look.
This is because many people who see affiliate programs like this tend to
think that it's just another affiliate program that doesn't work. In fact,
affiliate programs like these are what super affiliates use in order to
profit a lot of money from and spend little for it. These are the things
that people usually ignore.

So, the next time you are looking for the best affiliate marketing program,
consider these three features and look for them in an affiliate marketing
program. You will see that it is widely available in the Internet and all
you have to do is find the one that is suited to your website.

By having a good affiliate marketing program, you will be able to earn a lot
of money from it. You should also expect that it will require little
maintenance and will generate a substantial amount of income for you and
your family. Who knows, maybe this is the answer to all your financial

10 Free Or Low Cost Ways To Generate Traffic To Your Website

Webmasters are always looking for ways to generate free traffic to their
sites. Because of this, you can find advice on this subject on thousands of
websites. But just how good is that advice?

Too often any advice on generating traffic is given with an ulterior motive
behind it. Or you're given advice about some whiz bang superduper new system
for generating traffic by some type of spamming (spamming blogs, search
engines, email, etc.).

Here are 10 low cost methods of generating traffic that will stand the test
of time. They're based off of giving value instead of spamming and taking
advantage of others.

1. Publish Good Keyword Rich Content on Your Site

Search engine optimization is a popular subject and there are all kinds of
experts ready to teach you exactly what to do.
Systems have come...and systems have gone.

Publishing good keyword rich content on your website has lasted the test of
time. While spamming techniques constantly fall by the wayside. Good content
will continue to be the primary way to generate free traffic from search
engines.

2. Write and submit good articles.

The Internet is based on content. I've used this method for a decade now to
drive traffic to my sites. Take a portion of the content you create and
submit it to article directories and lists for ezine publishers.

This is a primary traffic driver for a large number of businesses. Even when
it's not one of your main tools, it still drives some of the most qualified
and highly valuable visitors you'll have at your site. If you haven't been
producing articles, then why not?

3. Publish a Blog

Even corporations have jumped on the blogging bandwagon. This is based on
the same principles already given. You have a simple tool to create and add
content to your site. You also are provided with tools to network with
others online and share in each other's information.

Start a blog. Add other blogs to your links. Visit and comment on other's
posts. Become a part of the blogosphere, and take part in the discussions by
watching where other blogs are going with their discussions.

4. Send a Press Release

Very few small business owners take advantage of the media's willingness to
spread their story. Write a press release or hire someone to write it for
you. Then publish it on a site such as Prweb.

Because of the low costs involved in sending out press releases, this should
become a part of your monthly promotional plan. What's the big news this
month? What big stories are in the media that you can piggyback on or
identify with?

5. Participate on Discussion Boards

Find discussion boards in your niche. Participate in them regularly. Instead
of promoting, be an expert who helps those on the site. Give them advice.
Answer questions. Help beginners in your niche.

At the bottom of all your postings, you can have a link to your website.
When I've followed this, I've been surprised at just how many visitors you
get through these little links at the bottom of your postings. Plus, you're
building a relationship with these visitors before they even get to your
site.

6. Start a Link Campaign

Want more search engine traffic? Create more incoming links to your site.
Many of the strategies we've already mentioned do this...a blog, article
submissions, press releases, and links on discussion boards. They're all
incoming links.

You can also take another step and activiely search for sites to link to
you. You can do a simple search on Google for
"link:http://www.acompetitor.com" to find sites linking to your competition.
Contact them and find a way to get them to link to you as well.

7. Create a "Viral" Video

Video is part of the future of the Internet. Where we used to talk about
viral ebooks, now we talk about viral videos. Create an informational or
entertaining video and use sites such as Google Video and Youtube.com to
distribute it for you.

Make sure to include your web address on the video. Create multiple short
videos. Look into the communitites being built up on these video sites, and
find a way to tap into the ongoing video discussions.

8. A Good Offer on Your Business Card

This is a simple one. The entire backside of my card is an offer for a free
report you receive at my website for subscribing to my newsletter. It has
the headline and several bullet points along with the URL for the site.

This simple strategy is so effective that I've attended seminars where I've
seen quite a few people have printouts of my free report the second day.
They took my card and signed up for my list that night! Are you using this
simple strategy with people you meet?

9. Start An Affiliate Program

If you don't know about affiliate programs, then you've been hiding in a
cave. FOr many successful businesses, the affiliate program equals much
higher than 50% of their sales. Running your own affiliate program is the
killer traffic generation tool.

An affiliate program gives you the ability to tap into other people's
traffic, other people's lists, and other people's customer relationships. No
matter what you're selling, you should find a way to put an affiliate
program into the mix.

10. Set-up Joint Ventures

Joint ventures include affiliate programs, but they also go beyond them. Who
can you trade an article with? Who could you run co-op advertising with? Who
could you trade ads with? How can you help others while generating traffic
for your own site?

You might have your "normal" offer on your site that all affiliates refer
their visitors to. How can you set-up a special deal with better pricing,
more bonuses, or some other type of special offer for the customers of a
large opt-in list or buyer's list? If you want a surge of new sales, find a
way to create exclusive deals at times.

Introduction to Affiliate Marketing - Part 2/2 Part 2 of 2

Affiliate Networks

Operating an affiliate program to drive traffic to your website has never
been easier. Most Sites utilize 3rd Party Services (so called Affiliate
Networks). Those Services provide the infrastructure for you to track all
the traffic and referrals to your Website.

Networks also work as a Recruiting Platform to find Websites willing to
promote your Products or Services. The Integration of their Service usually
takes just a few days or sometimes just a few hours.

Some of the Networks also help you to keep the generated overhead low (such
as Payment of the Affiliates).

Networks usually charge 20-30% of the commission you pay to Affiliates as
Fee to you. If the Fee is 25% for example and you pay 10% commission per
Sale to you Affiliate, you must pay $12.5 in commission and fee for a $100
Sale.

In-House Affiliate Program Solutions and Software

You might want to have more control over your Affiliate Program and avoid
the Network fees by running the program In-House.

You can, of course, develop all the necessary tools and technology by
yourself, but that is may be not very cost effective and not as easy as it
seems.

The technology has already been developed by various Affiliate Tracking
Solution Providers and Software Packages.

They are most of the time easy to plug into your existing Sites and have
already proven themselves. Be carefull with too small or too new Solution
and Software Provoiders.

Check the Background of the Company you consider first. Do your diligence!

Outsourcing - Outsourced Program Management (OPM)

When you have your Program up and running, the first and important step was
done. Now begins the complicated part starts.

The Wild West of Affiliate Marketing when quick and easy money was made and
having an Affiliate Program running on "Auto Drive" generated a huge
increase in sales by affiliates that seeked out programs and did everything
themselves without the need of support and guidance is over. Business on the
internet matured and Affiliate Marketing as well.

An Affiliate Program requires attention.

To get active and quality affiliates requires active recruitment efforts.
Support of existing affiliates also became vital. A clear set of Rules, the
Affiliate Agreement, must be worked out and be enforced.

Allocate Resources to the program and don't do it on the side.

Your program is destined to fail if you don't spend the required resources
and time for your program.

If you don't have the resources in-house, consider outsourcing of your
program management (OPM). There are today a number of quality service
companies available that are specialized in this.

Conclusion

Thousands of Websites operating their Affiliate Program successfully today,
prove, that Affiliate Marketing is the most cost effective and efficient way
to promote your products and services on the World Wide Web.

Affiliate Marketing guarantees a fast ROI (Return of
Investment) and for some Online Merchants and Services are the Sales
generated through the Affiliate Channel making up a considerable percentage
of their total online Revenue.

What Is A Squeeze Page?

A "squeeze page" is a page on a website that compels people to enter their
name and email address in order to get to another page where they will find
information that could be helpful to them. Often the squeeze page will lead
to a product or service for sale, but sometimes there will be free
information as well.
The main purpose of the squeeze page is to "capture" the email addresses of
the visitors so that the person who owns the page can send emails to them,
typically in hopes of selling them something. Squeeze pages are extremely
useful because, even if the owner doesn't make a sale right away, he or she
can market or "backsell" to the subscriber down the road. In fact, squeeze
pages are so powerful that internet millionaires are saying that if they
lost everything, they would start over with a squeeze page, in order to
build a list and go from there. Some people like squeeze pages because they
do not even have to own a website, just a domain with the squeeze pages, and
visitors can be sent from there directly to the affiliate product or service
the marketer is promoting.

In order to capture email addresses, the squeeze page needs to have a form
built into it that can be purchased via either a one-time fee or a monthly
fee from one of the many newsletter/autoresponder companies. This form can
be modified in order to ask for the subscriber's name, email address and
other information, although usually the squeeze page will only ask for the
first name and "primary" email address.

Typically, there is an autoresponder attached to a squeeze page, which means
that when a person enters in his or her email address, he or she will
automatically receive an email from the subscription site/squeeze-page
owner. Generally, the first email will be a confirmation message, followed
by a series of emails providing information, such as a multi-day course, as
well as sales pitches for products and services.

Parts of a Squeeze Page

The length of a squeeze page is one of its parts that can be split-tested in
order to determine its conversion rate. The basic components of a squeeze
page are:

-- Header graphic - some say yes, some say no, but testing is important
-- Headline - make this eye-catching, and test!
-- Audio/video - use this to tell people who you are and why you are an
authority
-- Offer - keep it short but packing a punch; use bullet-point lists
-- Form/box with "call to action" language - telling the visitor what to do
next
-- Privacy statement - you must tell the visitors that their email addresses
are safe with you

The hottest thing in squeeze pages today is video. Audio was discovered to
be very effective in upping the conversion rates, but video has been found
to be even more powerful. Essentially, your squeeze-page video is a
"mini-informercial" at a fraction of the cost.

Paths To Profit Online

The path of least resistance is by nature the course most traveled. In
economic terms this path is most difficult to measure at start up because no
personal experience is present and so we must rely on the experience of
others to guide us.
Other persons experience at this point is theory and sold using a variety of
techniques that every internet entrepreneur must choose from to get it.

My first impression of web marketing tactics was that there were many people
offering their experience for sale as a quick and easy way to earn
extraordinary income. Understandably there was no mention of what experience
was brought to the theory of success before start up. Claims like "If I can
do it anybody can, broke to riches in 30 days." were allegedly proved by
pictures of bank or pay statements. However, there was still a leap of faith
or trust that did nothing to clear the view of start-up reality even after
buying.

Competition for sales to new marketers is fierce because every one that has
gone before tries to copy the tactics they have purchased only to discover a
saturated niche. Competition in a saturated market is the first object
lesson delivered and once learned used to open the door to the next level of
opportunity.
Alternatively, the experience may also be considered as a rite of passage
that tends to be implied, not stated, and so acts to filter the short run
opportunist from the long term business builder.

To help business builders better understand the economic value of
experience, bitter and sweet, I'll construct a simple view of start-up to
better characterize the short and long term view to prosper.

Everyone who has chosen to earn money online enters the market at some
point, and at some time. They bring whatever knowledge and skills they may
have to bear upon the single goal of selling something for profit. Start-up
then begins at this point and continues until income meets or exceeds what
was being earned upon entry. In other words the first marker of progress is
income replacement.

Income replacement occurs when average monthly income from internet business
meets or exceeds present income. For example, $3,000 a month means the
replacement income target would be $36,000. The time it takes to get there
is the actual time it takes to start-up. Since there is no way to forecast
this variable, genuine offers will usually include a disclaimer to this
effect.

Time then is relative to variable factors like how much time you spend to
learn, to build your business, and recover from choices that lead you in
directions that may differ from your goal. While some may argue that the
lower your present income is the shorter the start-up will be, the other
side of that coin is setting a target income that enables a standard of
living you need or desire. Now standard of living implies another variable
of setting an appropriate income value as your start-up milestone.

Notwithstanding the well meaning and important value of being all that you
can with visions and plans for future achievement, present reality is a
stark contrast. For the purpose of this discussion it is the place from
which measurement begins. So we must start by making a distinction between
the present and the future standard of living.

To begin then, a standard of living is a measure of what you can afford to
purchase with your present income. Typically, as income increases so does
the standard of living. However, a common approach to improving living
standard is to leverage earning potential by taking out a loan to buy what
you feel improves your standard. This is a basic concept of leverage used
both personally and in business. This form of credit is based on an
optimistic forecast that the person or business can meet the payment
obligations according to the terms. What makes this optimistic is to assume
the basis for the ability to pay will stay the same or improve. Sometimes it
doesn't.

In economic theory, theory and practice are the same. In reality they
differ. After all, why would anyone want to start an internet business with
little money or time to invest except in the event the reality of their
financial situation compels them to seek a path of least resistance to
sustain or improve a standard of living. Now let's return to putting a value
on present standard of living and set an economic cornerstone.

First let's disconnect living expenses from debt. This places present
standard of living without debt as a number value or target value for
replacement income. Debt and current income are variables. Time and
experience then becomes your main assets on the path to prosperity where
debt is short term, standard of living is paid up, and income meets demand.
Once this point is reached start-up matures to business operation for the
purpose of sustainability and growth. So the day you start to do business on
the internet until you have paid your debts and have reliable recurring
income that pays for your ongoing standard of living and business operating
expenses is the day start up ends and business begins.

To put the time factor into some perspective here is an excerpt from an
interview Ewen Chia did with Graham Hammer.

"Ewen: When did your 'big break' come and what was the turning point that
changed everything?

Graham: My "big break" came when I set up Profit-Plan in 2002, but you've
got to understand that "big breaks" don't just "happen". They are worked-for
and hard-earned.

Let me explain. I started planning and constructing Profit-Plan in mid 2002
(it actually launched in late January 2003). But before I could construct
the site, I had to learn how to write HTML pages, and I began that process
in 2001. (I still write my pages "by hand" in raw text. I just feel it gives
me more "control" over how the page looks.)

So a journey that appears to have begun in January 2003 with the launch of
Profit-Plan actually began in 2001 when I picked up a book about HTML code.
Profit-Plan was an instant hit, not least because the headline read.."Make a
profit today, or your money back today" (which I guess shows the power of a
great headline)."

The path of least resistance still requires the learning and practice of
skills whether you pay large sums for trial and error or take a path of
lower cost. The question is how much are you prepared to spend in time,
money, trial and error to start-up your business. Fortunately for those with
limited budgets there are options to start-up faster in a collaborative
online workspace at low cost. The h4h.biz projects are well on their way to
becoming the workspace of choice for those determined to walk the path to
prosperity online.

Four Surefire Ways To Get Your New Business Start Up Into Profit

Congratulations! You've just started a new business, you've signed on the
dotted line, purchased your inventory or set up your website, opened your
doors and now .... Yikes!! Depending on your new business start up costs, it
could be quite a while before you see a profit. How do you get 'into the
black'
without burning yourself out?

The key is to work smarter, not harder. Here are four key business
strategies to help you maximize your profits during this critical phase, to
help you bring income in quicker from your new business.

!. Simplicity and Focus First. Do NOT over-diversify or overcomplicate your
new business. This is a common mistake that business beginners make. By
getting involved with too many products, services, ideas or opportunities at
once, which dilute your efforts and create overwhelm. Take the time to learn
the basics. Once you've focused on your key business product or service, and
on a viable marketing and business plan, stick to it! Put all of your
energy, attention and intention into marketing your new business and getting
it profitable.

2. Niche. At the beginning, keep your business tightly focused in once area
of your market. Keep the business simple and yet expandable, centered around
one theme, and with room for synergistic multiple income streams. Focusing
and developing a unique niche will be more profitable than trying to be
everything to everyone. Once you get your first project profitable, then add
another product, service, or branch to your business.

3. Focus on Income Producing Activities. Starting a business takes a lot of
work and one of the common mistakes that many business beginners make is
focusing too much time and attention on the wrong activities. For example
they drown in administrative details and forget about marketing, or spend
too much time with customers but without a comprehensive business plan. You
need to prioritize and spend 80% of your time on income producing
activities.

As part of your new business start up plan, take some time to figure out ONE
single daily action that you can do EACH day that will bring income into
your business. For example, if you are building a website, set yourself the
goal of creating three new pages per day, or adding ten new newspaper
subscribers to your list. If you're a network marketer, talk to ten new
people each day about your business. If you sell a service, gather five new
leads each day. If you own a store, find one new way to increase the traffic
and visitors into your store each day.

4. Little Known Tip to Get Profitable Fast. Did you know that as soon as you
sign on the dotted line and start your business, if you work at home you are
eligible for hundreds of legal home business tax deductions? This can end up
saving you thousands of dollars this year on your taxes! For many new
business owners, keeping track of your expenses and deductions is
overwhelming, but if you can remember that this will put money into your
pocket, you will find the recordkeeping to be less drudgery and more fun!

By following these four strategies, you can quickly get your new business
start up into profit and begin the exciting journey of developing your
fledgling enterprise into a growing, thriving, solid business that can
support you and your family for years to come.

Your Roadmap to Success . . . a simple Business Plan

Do you need a business plan? If you are running a home based
business, you probably think you don't.

For you to get the most from your work at home career it would be
wise to develop a business plan. If done correctly, not only will
it show you where to go, but the process of building the plan is
sure to open up avenues you have not previously considered, and
your ride more enjoyable and more direct.

Before the business plan itself, you will have to dig deep and
figure a few things out - not only about your business, but about
yourself. Here are some areas to focus on:

Who are YOU? Consider what your purpose is in this home based
business. What are your core values and how will they play a part
in your career? These purposes and values are the foundation of
the business you desire to build. Consider the following:

1. Look at your personal and business values, the ones you
consider important, and decide which you desire to bring forward
and actualize in your home based business.

2. Take a hard look at where you currently are. Are you happy or
are you just gliding by? What do you desire to change?

3. Combine the past and the present and decide what your goals
are for the future. Go for the gold, shoot for the moon here -
think BIG, plan LARGE, and write it all down.

Formalize your goals with numbers. This is all about the bottom
line - your current line as well as the pot of gold at the end of
the rainbow line. Work out a comprehensive list of numbers.
Consider these factors:

1. Current and planned expenses. Be as exact as you can - this
could include everything from your connection expense (for
Internet home based businesses) to office supplies to mileage.
Incorporate any current expenses as well as planned ones for the
future.

2. Leave room for unplanned expenses. Yep, that's right - plan
for the unplanned. It is important to take into consideration
areas that may not be in your view at this moment in time.

3. Decide what you desire to earn. Not what you "think" you
can earn - but what you DESIRE to earn. Again, go for it all!

Create an action plan. This will be the base for your business
plan! By following the steps below, utilizing the information
from above, you will build the primer for a business plan you can
actually use for your work at home career.

1. Define your niche by focusing on your value. A rose by any
other name is NOT a rose, no matter what the clichéd statement
says! You need to focus on what makes your home based business
unique, what value you offer that NO ONE else does.

2. Decide on a marketing plan. Even if you already have one,
utilize your niche market to create a targeted plan for the
clients/customers you desire.

3. Detail your budget. Review those expenses from up above,
decide what changes need to be implemented, and form a thorough
budget.

4. Goal planning and upkeep. Create your goals (short term,
medium and long term) and then monitor them on a regular basis.
Alter and shape your goals as you reach them, and continue
creating new aspirations to strive for. Again, think BIG, plan
LARGE. Always EXPECT to succeed.

5. Keep moving forward. Do not let yourself become stagnant. If
you feel that happening, go back through all of the steps already
listed. Revive your excitement for your home based business or
your work at home job by continually feeding upon all successes.
Small ones count!

By utilizing the above steps, you will find yourself in a far
better position to actualize your dreams into reality. Do not
forget that the business plan itself does not promise success for
your home based business, however, continuously striving forward
will. A business plan is merely the map to your goals - laid out
in front of you with easy to read directions. The plan itself is
already inside of you, you are just putting it down on paper so
you do not lose your way.

Reach for the stars - after all, desire does not have
limitations.

7 Tips To Choosing The Domain Name That Will Catapult Your Business Into An Empire

Your domain name is your business name on the Internet.
This is a decision that will affect search engine optimization as well as
your return customer traffic.
Your domain name will also affect anchor text of inbound links and your
search engine rankings.

Some companies have chosen to brand themselves with names that have nothing
to do with their business i.e. Yahoo, Google, Amazon, and eBay. It's not
that they don't understand search engine rankings but that they have deep
pockets for advertising to help their customers remember their name.

Here are 7 tips to help you choose a domain name making you more memorable
to your customers and search engines alike.

1. Keep your name as short as possible. People remember
names of their favorite websites. If your domain name is short and
memorable you have a better chance of return traffic. Advertising your name
offline becomes easier when it's something people can remember without
writing down.

2. Be clear about the direction of your web business. When
you start your business you may have an idea to sell widgets but as your
business grows you may find that widgets, wickets and wonkets all sell well.
Your domain name should be able to grow with your business.

3. Try to include 2 keywords in your domain name. When you
design your domain name you should include at least one, if not two,
keywords in the name. This helps to improve your search engine ranking and
organic search traffic. Search engines will place a higher value to a site
that sells widgets, has widgets in the name and has content that is
optimized for widgets. The assumption is widgets will be the focus of your
site and therefore provide valuable content to the searcher.

4. Include the location in the name if you are marketing
and selling in only one specific location. Are you a realtor selling
exclusively in Chicago?
ChicagoExampleRealEstate.com,
XYZExampleRealEstate-Chicago.com,
YourExampleXYZRealEstateInChicago.com all have the keyword Real Estate and
the location. However, if you sell widgets in Chicago but ship around the
world you won't put Chicago in the domain name. People searching for
widgets will pass over your site if they believe, from your name, that you
sell only in Chicago.

5. Avoid trademarked names. You've heard the stories of
the little guy who buys a name the big company wants. He sells the name and
spends the rest of his days retired on a private island. Those days are
gone. Now the big companies are calling their lawyers. TheBestOnEbay.com
or MicrosoftRox.com are just not good ideas.

6. Look legitimate and buy the variations. Avoid
purchasing .biz, .tv, or .ws as your main site. The most respect is given
to sites on .com, .net, and .org. On the other hand once you have a .com
that you intend to grow you should also buy the other extensions and
potentially even the .biz, .tv and .ws. Redirect those sites to your
primary site. This way if a customer can't remember the extension he'll get
to your site anyway. The new kid on the block is .mobi. This is the
extension used for mobile devices and sites providing services on the mobile
web.
Opened for general registration on September 26, 2006 and sponsored by a
consortium of companies including Microsoft, Google and Nokia this extension
has already sparked criticism.

7. Ask for advice. You'd be surprised at how many times a
domain names sounds absolutely brilliant at 1 am when you purchase it.
However, in the light of day, when you've asked some of your friends, it
makes no sense at all. Ask your friends, relatives and head over to a
webmaster forum.
You'll get great advice, learn a few things you didn't know and see your
business from a new set of eyes.

These simple tips will help you establish a solid foundation for your
Internet business and send you targeted qualified customers.
